Excellent staff, amazing food. Glad my first restaurant experience since C-19 was Canon. Outdoor spaces nicely spaced. Unrushed meal and did I mention the food? Sooooo good.

I took my wife here for our anniversary dinner. Canon is 5 stars on all aspects!

Our third visit and it isn't....bad...but it also isn't good enough. Dinner for two and two drinks each was about 200. Several of the dishes were good, but not amazing. We will stick to brunch here, or B&L, or Allora....

Service in Sacramento is just not amazing, but Allora is our favorite.

The purées! How is one able to access them, with no bread to scoop them up? Scraping the plate with the fork, licking the plate, using one’s fingers and licking them? For the cost, what a waste of delicious product.

Anniversary

Came here for my Boyfriend’s Birthday. He proposed to me because the food was so good.

Honestly I was hoping for more given what they charge. We dined on the patio. Seating was okay, not great. Decent ambiance, average service. The food was good, nothing to get excited about. The real disappointment was the price. Cheapest full entree was $39 for the chicken. WTF? Not sure where they get off trying to pull that, but everything else on their menu was four-star pricing without the 4-star ambiance, service or taste.

It was so nice being able to dine inside a restaurant after a year of take-out only due to the pandemic. Canon is one of our favorite spots, and although far from our home, it's always worth the drive. The food is innovative and delicious. Service is spot on. All in all we had a lovely dining experience and can't wait to go back again!

All the food is amazing, every staff member was nice and attentive. The food is well paced out. Best for a special occasion or just a nice night out, and if you enjoy sharing plates.

This is our 1st time back since covid and 1st time for dinner also. There are some menu changes but are good! The sharing platter selection is perfect!

Canon seems to specialize in preparation of less common foodstuffs (duck, goat, octopus). I like to experiment and will try most anything. I found their food very good. My wife is more traditional and won't eat unusual items. She did not enjoy the experience. Also, this restaurant is quite expensive.

Great experience, covid rules being followed to the “T”. Great service and delicious drinks. A must go!

Birthday Dinner for my best friend. Food is excellent. Restaurant is beautiful. Server was friendly, but the service was extremely slow. 30 minutes before they brought us water and lemonade. Almost an hour before our first meal came out. Then almost 15 minutes before the next course of food. Not sure what was going on, but the service was extremely slow, sporadic, and just seemed off. Other tables that sat after us, were completely finished with their meals before our first course came out. Dinner took 2 hours, we’re quick eaters and didn’t hang around after our meal, it’s literally took them 2 hours to bring our food. Almost 45 minutes before our orders were even placed. It didn’t seem very busy, so the whole experience was just odd. We’ll be back. I’ve been here before and it was fast and delicious then.

The outdoor space is beautiful, and spacious. We seated well away from all other guests. The service was fantastic, and the food was incredible. I would describe it, but it wouldn’t be fair as the Sunday prefix changes weekly.

Delicious food excellently prepared and presented. Their $45 Sunday night fixe was so good!! Our only criticism would be the tater tot, which are perfect and yummy, were a little too salty for the caviar. Would have preferred a more traditional belini. Service was on point, friendly and accommodating. Definitely one of our best dining experiences in Sacramento.

The Broccoli salad was not what I expected. Broccoli was charred and thats all I could taste. I thought it would be a cold salad with kale but it was not but the quinoa parmigiano chips were good. The Halibut was overcooked and the sauce with sausage was not complimentary to the fish. The patio dining atmosphere could have been better. We do not plan on coming back to the restaurant.

Perhaps the food, interior decoration and services are the best in Sacramento city area.
Keep in mind, this place is an casual but just a bit upscale dining, so please expect the small plates are quite small, but really good for sure.

It wasn’t great; really not worth the money and the food (drumsticks) went from either being amazing to terrible (brownie trifle) to, “why is this meh?” (The cauliflower).

Birthday celebration was great. Food and spirits selected was excellent. Even had a pour of Pappy Vanwinkle bourbon as a nice finish to the dining experience.

The pre-fix menu lured us in. It did not disappoint! Was superb from start to finish.

I’ve had the pleasure of eating at Cannon 5 or 6 times now since they opened a few years ago. It is always a great experience. Knowledgeable and friendly staff. Excellent management and a cocktail/wine/beer list that is hands down the best in Sacramento. Their food is fresh veg forward with sustainably sourced proteins. I mistakenly arrived one day early for my girlfriend’s birthday reservation and the hostess went above and beyond to move our slot up one day to fix my mistake.

We love everything about Canon. The service, of course the amazing food from starters through dessert, a glass of champagne, a bottle of pinot. As I hardly see my husband during tax season, Canon has become our official “date night” destination. Sacramento is so fortunate to be Canon’s home!

We love this restaurant for everyday and special occasions. We are so happy they are open again. Service and food are always impeccable. They cater to my gluten-free dairy-free low FODMAP diet easily.

Very interesting menu, good wine list, if you bring a bottle of wine, they waive the corkage if you buy a bottle off their menu. Check out the nightly wine special.

Canon was great. I went with my girl friends and we all ate everything. Food and drinks great!
