Both Brunch and Dinner menus offer a variety of savory crepes and French bistro classics-Escargot, Mussels, Croque Monsieur, Crispy Chicken and Frites, Beef Bourguignon, Fish and chips, Steak and Frites…
Monday through Friday 4 pm till 6 pm join us for a Happy Hour, enjoy half price on all bottles of wine and stay for our intimate twilight lit patio.
The cheese board and evening specials were delicious- braised sea bass and a stuffed ravioli in a red sauce.
We enjoyed hearing the specials and suggestions from Mike and I hope to visit again.
Due to inflation and the increased costs of shipping and perishables it makes sense why the meal was a little pricey.
We had the best French food that we have had anywhere in Denver for a very long time. Great menu. Wonderful wine list.
Love this place! Reliably great performance in every category.
Best casual French in Denver!
We went for Mother's Day and it was wonderful. The food was delicious and the service was great!
Great food, Mother’s Day brunch, very civilized way to spend an early Sunday afternoon. We’ll be back
Great neighborhood weekend brunch spot. Also very nice patio
Great spot in Denver for an intimate date with excellent food. I think you can’t go wrong ordering classics - we did the mussels, cheese plate, french onion soup, and steak frites. Everything was delicious. We were seated in the very back which made for a cozy and private-seeming experience. Good wine and good service. I would definitely come here again for a date or for the happy hour with friends just to show off what good taste I have.
The salmon was undercooked and sent back twice, no excuse for this.
DANK! The crab crepe is to die for! Bottomless mimosas too! Can’t go wrong!
This was my second time at Bon Ami and it was just as wonderful as the first. All the food has been fantastic - the crispy chicken topped with fine herb butter is amazing! But so is the salmon gravaux... The service has been attentive and helpful both times as well. Highly recommend!
Food was fantastic and the waitress was so friendly and nice!
Very nice little restaurant, great food and service.
The food was good but not great. I would maybe recommend it. I was told it was a French restaurant by a friend, but it’s not really.
An excellent dining experience. It was our first time there and we were impressed!
We shall return !!!
Overall our experience at Bon Ami was mixed.
We had a reservation, but we weren’t greeted and seated for several minutes. Once our order was taken it took 20 minutes or longer for our appetizer to be served.
As for the food, the appetizer was good, but the main course was a little less than to be expected. We had the filet mignon and it wasn’t as tender as it should have been, and the vegetables looked and tasted thrown together. I ordered wine with the appetizer, and would have liked a second glass with my entree but was never asked if I wanted one.
Fabulous French cuisine and inviting, warm atmosphere
I want to preface this review with the note that we have always had great experiences with Bon Ami and believe this was an off evening. It was restaurant week and we should have avoided, they were trying to accommodate the regulars and also make room for the new folks here for restaurant week. We ordered off of the regular menu and both our dinner entrees were noticeably different than we are accustomed. The Paris chicken was more like a schnitzel -without much of the usual sauce or delicious flavor. My husband's Bœuf Bourgignon was overwhelmed with mash potatoes and served without the usual amount of beef and sauce. The waiter was attentive but overwhelmed dealing with a loud and possibly intoxicated belligerent customer that was disrupting the entire front of the restaurant for over 30 minutes. The evening was less than pleasant but I do not believe it was representative of the usual Bon Ami. We will return when it is not restaurant week.
The food and ambiance were really delicious. If you love eggs benedict I recommend asking the server for a soft poach on the egg if you get the benedict crepes during brunch. Looking forward to going back to try dinner next time.
My new favorite restaurant in town! Excellent old school service, anticipates your needs prior to you even stating them. The mussels are the best in Colorado! Love this restaurant.
Indoor seating was loud so we were seating in a tight corner. Service was slow considering most of the clientele was finishing their food when my wife and I arrived. I found it strange the servers only spoke to my wife and ignored me. Food was a bit overrated.
Great food and ambiance outside on the patio. Will definitely be going back.
We visited for Denver Restaurant Week and tried a variety of menu items. Our servers were professional and attentive and helped us select delicious meals. Beef Bourgogne, French onion soup & creme brûlée were excellent!
We visited Bon Ami for Restaurant Week. Every course was fantastic. We'll definitely return to enjoy the regular menu.
This was our second visit and while most things were good - especially the French Onion Soup - my wife's trout almondine was not sagisfactory.
the place was great. I loved the soup and the pate.
as always , the quiet atmosphere is very nice to have a conversation. the food was outstanding -- i would order from the main menu rather than the restaurant week specials - better selection in my opinion. if you are looking for fine french food in a nice small cozy out-of-the way place -- this is it! My wife spent several years in France and this is her favorite.
We enjoyed out first meal out in a restaurant in over a year. Of course we went to Bon Ami for this! Good service, nice atmosphere, and good food! We look forward to our next visit, instead of the take out we had been enjoying for the last year!
Beautiful ambiance here at this little restaurant - love the outdoor patio, it felt safely distanced but also still had a vibrant atmosphere. I love the French onion soup!!!
The food was delicious overall. The pilaf was mighty wet. The soup, appetizer, main courses, and desserts were so good. The atmosphere was perfect. And Kelsey our wait person was perfect.
Even though Bon Ami was booked for restaurant week, they were able to find us a table outside on a lovely Spring evening. The food was excellent as usual, service was efficient and attentive.
My steak was wonderful cooked just right. Prefect medium rare not on the grill!?
Sat on the patio on a lovely evening. If course will eat here again.
Terrific as usual!! Warm night, sitting outside, great food, friendly staff, good wine...what more is there?!
Food and service were both outstanding, beautifully prepared and presented classic French cuisine. We had a memorable meal.
Our family of five dined at Bon Ami on April 25th during restaurant week. What a charming restaurant! I love old buildings and felt like I was in France. The four course dinner was delicious! We all had the mussels with the garlic sauce for an appetizer, the French Onion Soup and Salad Maison were fabulous, and three entrees were ordered: Almond-crusted trout, which my son loved, Chicken Croquettes, reported as very tasty, and three of us had the Beef Bourguignon, which was tender, with a flavorful sauce, enjoyed by all. Chocolate Mousse and Creme Brulee for dessert were parfait!! Service was outstanding!! Polite, attentive, but not intrusive. We dined inside, which was lovely and comfortable, but plan to return in the future for a brunch on Bon Ami's lovely patio. Merci, Bon Ami!!
Food has been great the last few times we have gone. The wine list is a good value and the service is good.
The food was horrible. Worst crepes I’ve ever had in my life. Fishy, chlorinated-tasting crab, over-poached eggs, tomatoe sauce that may as well be campbells condensed soup, all drenched over a soggy, thick crepe, that is smothered in luke-warm cheese.
Absolutely terrible all the way around. My mother is French and would be absolutely appalled that this is even called French food.
Don’t even get me started about the rude hostess and the constant musical chairs of dragging heavy patio umbrellas around my table. The hostess didn’t seem to notice the fact that she kept moving the umbrella, effectively blinding my wife, so I had to get up and move the umbrellas myself multiple times. They were setting up umbrellas for a party that hadn’t even showed up yet. I mean come one, at least take care of your existing patrons. Worst place I’ve dined in Denver so far.
Everything was great minus the hostess
