Outstanding service, great menu options, summer specials are great. BOGO pizzas on Monday are FANTASTIC.
Always a great spot, good food, great ambiance! We have been many times and is always a favorite.
Pretty courtyard restaurant with a nice European touch of a fountain.
Food was excellent! Took advantage of the Wednesday special of half price bottles of wine and we all had the pre-fixe of 3
Courses for $28.50 Excellent value and good size portions. Server was good but the bus boys need a talking to, rarely came around. Our server(sorry forgot his name) was accommodating in putting together a pasta dish with crabmeat for my 7yr old nephew. He loved it and so did we as we sampled his dish☺️
Barbatella you are a nice find on 3rd Ave! A quaint little gem
Recently we ate here on a warm evening outside. Aside from the weather being a bit uncomfortable, this was a nice dining experience. Food was very good, with generous portions. Waiter was a bit abrupt, like he had done this a thousand times before and was tired of it. Overall it is a very nice restaurant, on beautiful 3rd St. South.
Love Barbatella’s!! Always a great meal!! Love the atmosphere!!
I went on a date with my boyfriend and we had an amazing time. I am a vegan and my waiter was very accommodating. I recommend their Verdure pizza for any fellow vegans (minus the mozzarella cheese). My boyfriend also got a pizza with prosciutto, artichoke hearts, olives, mozzarella cheese. We sat outside by the fountain and it was cool enough with the fans in the July Florida heat. Loved the food & the atmosphere!!
Fantastic food and great service
Excellent Service and Food was Fantastic
Hip yet comfortable atmosphere..instantly my favorite Italian Restaurant in Naples
The food is superb.great pasta, the quality of produce is really high.great wine list.nice ambience.will def come back.our waiter was in horrible mood.next time he should stay at home or change the job.
Food was not at the level they charge.
Thi was the worst pizza I’ve ever had.
The ambiance of this trattoria depends largely on where you are seated; outdoors, at a table near the kitchen or in the modern noisy bar. The food, however, is always the star. Prosciutto is sliced paper thin and melts in your mouth. The Barbatella platter is a generously portioned assortment of meats, cheeses, and vegetables that could easily serve as a full meal. The special salad with grilled peaches, beets and goat cheese was exceptional, and the pasta dishes had flavor to spare. A mixed grill platter passed by that made me wish I had opted for one of the grill options. Next time.
Great authentic(I think) Italian food. Great pizzas. Sometimes there is entertainment. Lots of outdoor seating. Nice wines.
It was restaurant week so you got 3 courses for a very reasonable price and the portion size was smaller than usual but still adequate. We will definitely go back.
We had 4 people in our group and everyone ordered something different from the rest. Our server was very good, but he became very busy with a large group later after we were already eating. I had to wait for some time before I could ask for more water. Also I was bothered by what appeared to be small gnats flying around in my face and occasionally into my food, but we did request outside so it was just the luck of the draw. Aside from that everyone really liked their dinners. After dinner we ordered dessert (tiramisu) that seemed like it had sat out for a while and was melted some and a little difficult to pick up with the fork to eat (kept falling off). It should had been more firm. Probably due to our waiter tied up with a large table I guess. It was a beautiful evening and would definitely go back.
We were very disappointed with our experience at Barbatella’s. The service was slow and they ran out of the restaurant week special we wanted. The meal was not what we expected and the value was definitely not there.
It was - ̗̀nice ̖́-
Experiencing Restaurant Week - my dinner was very good. The pork chop wasn’t over cooked therefore juicy with a good crust.
The wine was good, they were stingy with the butter, two small pats for four people, but they did bring more except it had the taste of refrigeration.
All in all we’d go back.
Barbatella never disappoints. Great homemade pasta, coal-fired pizzas, and much more. Two of us had the baked whole branzino - filleted at the table. Delicious. Our waiter had the kitchen make a lovely antipasto platter with ingredients we requested. That was a special request that was granted and made the meal feel like we were home - but better! Beautiful courtyard - it was raining the night we were there, but the courtyard and fountain is lovely.
We made a reservation for a birthday and the staff never made a special dessert or announcement of a birthday.
The pre fix menu was completely different than what was advertised.
The fish and the beef entrees were extremely salty. The appetizers were sub par. I wouldn’t come back.
The quality of food is great. Love the atmosphere.
Had a lovely time in the bar with friends. Jonathan, the bar tender was busy with Happy Hour at the bar and the high top tables. He kept everyone happy with drinks and food and a constant smile. Our good time was enabled by Jonathan's ever present service and smile. The drinks and food were excellent. A great time for all of us!
grilled Snapper and grilled scallops were excellent
We are 'regulars' at Barbatella but this is the first time we've all ordered pizza, and I was disappointed. The crust was completely soggy in the center-- yuck. We had high hopes, but will not be ordering pizza from there again.
Sat outside. The was a wine tasting club in the bar area. Very loud. We had two of the dinner specials. Seemed a little pricey for what we got. Pasta soup was very good. Lasagna just ok. We’d go back but try the pizza.
Pasta was over cooked but pizza was amazing.
Mother’s Day dinner was incredible. One of our favorite restaurants
We met good friends and sat at booth. We could hear each other talk (loved that!) easily which can be a challenge in some restaurants. The waiter was terrific and we all enjoyed our meals. It's a great casual spot with good food and drinks.
Our party of four celebrated a Mother's Day brunch. We enjoyed their special menu and the complementary mimosas were a nice surprise.
Went for Mother’s Day and had a blast! The service was great and food was perfect. If you go, definitely get the creme brûlée for dessert. It’s amazing!
Food came out just minutes after we ordered. They rushed us and did nothing for my birthday.
We had thantipasto plate for four and it was terrific, as well as the main dish that we ordered, branzino. Very good. Dessert was yummy
They don’t advise you that the birds are famous for crapping on you when you sit by the tree in the courtyard. Got crapped on two times and promptly moved. Food was a 2 out of 5.
Love this restaurant - love the ambience as well as the food.
Host & server were rude. Food was good. Would not return or recommend.
I would recommend this for an afternoon drink and appetizer. Dinner entrees were so so (except for the pork which was very good). Service was good until we answered the server's question as to the food (bland, needed more flavor and spices). He wasn't too chatty after that exchange but overall the service was good. Lovely outdoor setting but that is not guaranteed for busy dinner hours even with reservations. It's also fairly loud, inside and outside.
It was an off night at Barbatella. We have dined there many times and never had a bad experience. So I will chalk this one up to them just having a off night. We were greeted and sat right down, that was the best part of the night the rest was all down hill.
We are not looking to blame any of the wait staff. They were working hard. but it took a very long time to even get a glass of water. It took an even longer time to give our drink order and appetizer. The meat platter for 2 for $ 29. We received the meat platter before our drinks and when the drinks came they were half on the tray and a few drops on my legs. Just before the drinks came we moved the oil and vinegar bottles, which were covered in oil, off the table and placed them along side the building. The manager came over and was more concerned about us moving the bottles when he should have helped the server hand us our drinks. He was there and he could have helped.
The Drinks were not up to the Barbatella standards which we are use to. We are full time year round residents who dine out quite often. Other tables who sat down after us were being poured water brought bread and their drinks before us. We figured it just started off bad and it would get better, but after some time we discussed it and said it wasn't worth the chance to find out. And we looked around for while trying to enjoy our cocktails and meat platter we determined it was not going to be the place to spend $300-400 and feel like it was worth it or be happy with the experience. So we left and had a wonderful meal at the Watermark Grill where Ashley took splendid care of us and the food was delicious!
Barbatella usually is a wonderful time, it just wasn't on Saturday. But now we have to put them in time out and as there are oh so many wonderful restaurants in Naples we will be dining else where for some time.
Excellent food, wine, and ambiance. We sat right by the fountain. Perfect night!
The best Italian Restaurant I have ever been to in the USA!
