Despite the name, Angel Curry Centre in London’s Islington in Chapel Market is actually a small and perfectly-formed modern Indian restaurant. Short on neither competition nor regulars, the Angel Curry Centre’s great success is based on excellent, well-presented food at very attractive prices. All your favourites are here on the menu like chicken tikka masala and chicken dupiaza. Side and vegetarian dishes easily match the high standard of the meat dishes. And here’s another pocket-friendly aspect of Angel Curry Centre restaurant: YOU ARE YOU WELCOME TO BRING YOUR OWN ALCOHOLIC DRINKS AND THERE IS NO CORKAGE CHARGED. Yet there’s no rowdiness, the tables of 30 to 50 year olds causing nothing more than a healthy buzz. Angel Curry Centre is always great for cheap and cheerful Indian food. The food is really tasty, and the BYO with no corkage makes it all very reasonable. They used to do a 5 courses for £10 which they don't seem to be doing anymore, but it is still good and I would go back.

Wonderful restaurant! We frequently visit the Angel Curry Centre for its location, food and BYOB. The staff are always welcoming and the food is great. The cost is very good as you can bring your own bottle.

The Angel Curry Centre is my favourite curry house where you can bring your own alcohol. Clean and friendly service and the food is great as well. Will definitely go back again.

Very disappointing, I used to love this place. The restaurant was empty and the staff could not be bothered. The whole experience can be summed up in one word 'bland'.

Always fantastic food, and great value (esp since it's BYO). Always my preferred choice for a curry (or takeaway) in Angel.

Angel Curry Centre is a real find; the deal through Toptable is fantastic value and the food was delicious. The portions of the main meal aren't huge but that doesn't matter when you've also got starters and veggie side dishes. Service was great; they accommodated very capably our need to have everything served at once due to being in a rush. Super.

Great food (particularly on the Top Table menu they provide - 5 courses for £9.95). Plus BYOB saves even more on the budget front - great evening!

Tucked away on one of the less salubrious streets of Angel, do not expect five star service or a gourmet meal, but if you are looking for a quick cheap and cheerful curry this is a great option.
