Amber Waves Restaurant
The restaurant was ok. Nothing special. The food was just ok as well. There was nothing special about the whole experience at all. The price seemed a little pricey, but it's an amusement park hotel restaurant.....like I said, just meh.
My familu3 and I had the best time at Amber waves and are planning our next visit . The staff where friendly and helpful and we epically enjoyed the bar tender
Great pizza and good service.
Excellent food and the kids loved the visit from Snoopy.
Felt rushed due to closing at 10:00 and food was just ok very rushed
Sunday brunch for $17.00 was very expensive for scramble eggs, farmer john sausage patties, Good Bacon, french toast, fruit and cereal.
Definitely more of a family restaurant than a grown up restaurant but better than most family friendly places. They actually had cloth tablecloths and napkins! The food was good for adults and children and they had a full bar. Snoopy made a guest appearance which thrilled my grandchildren. I wouldn’t go back without kids but I’d definitely go back with kids.
Great for the hotel and Knott's Berry Farm crowds as a break from running out to other food places or in the park too. Don't have the heavy crowds during tourist season that you have at the Chicken Dinner Restaurant. I love the place for mid afternoon business get together or an early lunch from about 11:30. Good food, good variety, good service and reasonable prices.
We enjoyed our meals, service and atmosphere. We were staying across the way and stopped over. Glad we did.
This was my 2nd time there. Food is really good. My server was great. Love the atmosphere.
Host was horrible both times. Felt like we were bothering her. No greeting just "come with me", dropped the menus and that was it. Horrible customer service skills. Other than that it is a great place to eat.
The menu is limited. The food is unspectacular.
Great service food took a little long but server was great!
1st time visit
Decent not great
Breakfast buffet no
Nice experience, good food, good service. Kids had fun.
Service and food were wonderful! I will definitely come back again! I wanted to try this place for years since I live so close and finally decided to do so. So glad I did!
Food was good, reasonably priced, and the wait staff superb. However, the experience was tainted by a hostess that claimed her OpenTable app wasn’t working. We made reservations for our party of 11, plus two two-year-olds, well in advance in hopes of not having to wait long (as anyone with young children knows every minute that passes is one closer to meltdown.) Instead we sat helplessly by as they cobbled together two tables that barely fit our group over the course of 40 minutes. Truly embarrassing. We’ll be back, however, in hopes this was an isolated issue.
I especially liked the 20% off coupon for staying at the Knott’s Berry Farm Hotel... I was impressed with the lunch selection too.
Delicious dinner, we spent the day at Knott's and this was the end of an amazing mom & daughter day!!
We had 16 people and made reservations at 7:30. Decided to eat her because it's in the Knotts berry farm hotel. We all arrived at 7:36 pm given a little late. The host told us since you guys are late we have to wait 10 mins. And sure enough we didn't get seated till 7:46pm. As we walked to our table I noticed they were NOT busy at all. The service and food was okay. Just had a bad taste from the host. Don't plan on going there again.
Our waiter Paul was exceptional. Kind and professional. Very attentive.
Very disappointing. Hostess was EXTREMELY rude when arrived for our reservation. Server was nice, but we waited 10 min after being seated before we were greeted or offered water (Restaurant was empty, except for our part and another couple) I asked to speak to the manager twice, yet he never responded. I brought family here from out of town and regret it!
Our lunch was delicious and delightful. Quiet, well lit and comfortable. Paul, our waiter, did an excellent job of assisting us and kept a watchful eye on our needs yet didn't hover.
We'll definitely make another visit again.
The food is great. The service top notch. They are family friendly, and we got to meet Snoopy!
Great place to eat after a day at Knott's Berry Farm. Kids enjoyed when Snoopy stopped by the table for a group picture. Only complaint was that the cocktails were way too sweet.
Had open table reservations and then when we got there they told us they don't take reservations. So we had to wait despite our email showing a reservation was made.
Horrible thing to do...why are they even listed here then
We went to Amber Waves because we were married in the hotel 29 years ago and went back for nostalgia. I had the burger which was good, but my wife had the baby back ribs. It was extremely dry. Typically, you should just be able to pull the bone from the meat. However, these ribs were special. You would need a chainsaw to remove it. When my wife told me how tough it was I thought she was joking. I took a bite and she was right, it was really dry and tough. They did not braise the meat; they probably just used dry heat which dried out the meat.
The meal at Amber Waves was a quick lunch to end my stay at the Knott's Berry Farm hotel. The hostess promptly seated my party of two at a partial booth. We asked for a full booth and the request was accommodated. The new seating was a bit dusty and the dishes had water spots. The waiter arrived to take the order -- he was friendly and informative. We ordered two pizzas: Tidal Wave and the Boysenberry Chicken pizza. The meal was very good. The Boysenberry punch was great because they made certain our glasses were never "half empty."
The food was good. The service was so so.
We'll probably come back because it's close to our house and the food was decent. It wasn't special but was enjoyable.
