Aloy consistently great food - One of the best Thai restaurants you'll find in CO.
Over all it was fine. Nothing overly spicy, flavors were good but everything was either over powering or overly sweet in flavor. The Tom Yum was good but the Khao Soi was close but was so sweet you couldn’t eat much of it. Spring rolls were over stuffed with lettuce and lacked other main ingredients so they were just meh. Just sad for the price of the food and location it could be amazing.
The food and the drinks we’re definitely delightful.
I really recommend this place is one of my favorites.
Absolutely terrible the food and the service. I actually can’t believe Eater had this on their list. For any one who is a foodie and knows quality food do not go here. The Lemongrass Chicken was inedible, the Corn Fritters had no flavor, I will admit the sizzling chicken’s flavor was just ok a tiny bit of chicken in tons of sauce. The service was terrible she came out with the entree before the apps and then placed them all down together. If you want a good Thai place in Denver go to Daughters Thai Kitchen we went a few weeks ago and it was amazing.
Staff was awesome! We went to Aloy Modern Thai for my birthday and the food was delicious.
Always great service and a really great meal. Group of 8 and everyone was happy.
The five of us had a great time, ate diverse dinners and apps and all special!
A good dining experience, we were running late due to snowy roads and they took care of us.
Our waitress was friendly, efficient, and helpful.
We tried Aloy Thai as the meal out after Christmas (12/26). The staff was very friendly and attentive. The food was above average but not stellar. I would recommend this place if I was already downtown & needed a good place for lunch. We drive in from the suburbs, probably wouldn’t do so again.
Never been and really enjoyed it. The food was delicious!
Pretty decent Thai food and drinks, although they do not serve a decent Pinot Noir on their brief wine list.
Noisy but not too noisy.
food was excellent, extremely friendly servers, great atmosphere. was there for a birthday date and it couldn't have gone better.
Excellent food and service and so authentic coming from a family who has been to Thailand and one who worked there for 5 months!
Food was amazing, service was a bit off just due to they were packed!
Amazing food. My group of six split three appetizers and 4 entrees and had plenty of leftovers. Including my drink, my bill only came to $26. We thought it was an outstanding value. The service wasn't great. They weren't rude or anything, but only came once to order drinks, then food. Someone else dropped the food off and then a separate person cleared before we were really done. Some of our group never even got drinks. The food was fast, but they could have sold a lot more drinks if they had just asked!
We had a great time celebrating my friend’s birthday here. Great food and great service.
Great spot for a colleague's birthday lunch! The service and food was great!
I've had better. I've had worse. A little disappointed in the food-- Good but not as good as I'd hoped. Location, ambiance and service was fine!
If the review was based solely on the food, this would definitely be a 5 star review. However, the level of service really dragged it down. We had to wait over 20 minutes after being seated before anyone even acknowledged that we existed. From there started an 1.5-2 hour continued struggle to get attention from the waitstaff. I will say that when they did notice our table, the waitstaff was friendly. Once the food finally came to us it was delicious. I got the chicken drunken noodles and my husband got the Tom Yum noodle soup. Wanted to like this place but sadly we will probably choose another restaurant for our Thai food fix.
Pad Thai was most excellent. I asked for medium spice and that is exactly what I got.
Very cool setting. The calamari was really good for an appetizer. I had the Padang curry which was alright. A good spot for a date.
Fun and interesting place. Good food and ambiance.
Good food indeed ===but as reported on OpenTable reviews the service is a bit off. While it turned out find in the end the start was a bit off between the hostess and the server.
I sat for over 5-min. with no contact all the while staff was moving around me. Seems if Mgmt. can get that part right it's a solid Thai choice in Downtown Denver.
I loved my curry!
Although we had to wait 45 minutes for our food after ordering, when the food came if was excellent.
Incredible food with friendly, professional staff. A great experience.
Great food. Easy sharing dishes. Fun cocktails.
The service was very good and the food was fantastic. The server was very knowledgeable of the menu and assisted us in our ordering. Try the alligator a bit spicy but yummy.
The food at Aloy is terrific ! The ingredients are fresh and the food is always well-seasoned and beautifully presented. I would give this restaurant five stars across the board if not for the service, which was just adequate. Even though there were few patrons in the restaurant, our server paid us very little attention, and acted quite put out when our large group asked for separate checks, which aren't exactly unheard of these days. Notwithstanding that, I will return, as the food is well worth the visit.
Far too loud, $$$ food, food is okay, but not worth the price, no walk-ins until 8pm.
Sadly the phenomenal food (and it truly was delicious!) was pretty much ruined by the poor service and really slow delivery of food. Maybe the place is very understaffed (I’d say yes), certain servers are poorly trained (another yes), but simple drinks took forever to arrive, despite multiple requests to various people, our salad took 20+ minutes and the mains were so late we had to box everything up to make our movie.
I rarely leave negative reviews but I think it best for mgmt to be aware and hopefully make adjustments.
Service was a bit slow, the restaurant felt short staffed. Main complaint was the food. I had the Khao Soi and the dish was unbalanced - far too much sugar in the dish which made it sweet to the point where it was inedible. Papaya salad was bland, and the appetizers were unmemorable (pot stickers and corn fritters).
Food lukewarm and not tasty at all. Waiter inattentive. Had heard good things about restaurant but were very disappointed
Best Thai food in Denver! The food, atmosphere and service was superb.
Food was delicious and definitely would go back and try the rest of the menu.
I have been going to Aloy Modern Thai for a few years now. The quality and the consistency of the food has declined. The spicyness of the food is a crap shoot. They ask you for your choice of none, low medium spicy and very spicy. I have ordered "medium" each time and it has varied considerably each time. I hope the owners spend more time and insist on conistency.
The food is amazing and I'm sure on a night where Billy Joel isn't playing down the street at Coor's Field, this place is amazing all the way around but the entire world knew this event was happening so they should not have been caught off guard with staffing.
I would think any smart business owner of an establishment down in the area, would know everything that's happening that would affect them and prepare for the crowds.
The food was truly amazing and this place I'm sure is amazing on a "regular" night but not having the appropriate staff ready, is not our problem...we're walking in with money to spend and expect not only a great meal but great service.
The appearances by our waitress were extremely scarce and when she did come by, she acted like a victim because of the circumstance she was put in with such a large crowd wanting to eat before the show.
We showed up at 6:40PM for an 8PM show and we didn't get our meals until 7:38PM...that's crazy!! Also our waitress was sort of clueless about Thai food in general so she wasn't much help in that arena. We also would have had another sake of it didn't take almost 20 mins. to get it after ordering.
My advice, learn what's happening in your neighborhood and staff up accordingly as your food it too good, to fail as a restaurant over bad service.
Food was delicious and fresh, and easily met my specific dietary needs. Service was very slow however. We were seated outside and we told our server we had to keep to a kind of tight schedule with a concert to get to. Server said food should only take 20 min or so. That would have been perfect. 50 min later, I asked to get our order to go. Server could not have cared less, moved slowly and seemed annoyed we were asking her to box up our order. The people sitting by us were having the same problem. Hostess kept making excuses and that they were "slammed inside with over 80 reservations" (this should not come as a surprise to them being 2 blocks from Coors Field on an event night) and was less than helpful, rather than stepping up to get us out the door. When I walked inside to attempt to expedite paying our bill, there were empty tables everywhere, and were maybe half full to capacity. We left frustrated and hungry and ate on a trashcan outside of Coors Field. Food was yummy though!
If you go, go with lots time. Good luck!
Terrific food! Best Thai We’ve had in Colorado.
Service wasn’t super attentive and drinks took longer than the food, so timing not great. But food is always delicious!
