About Pizza Republica - Denver Downtown
Welcome to Pizza Republica! The word "republic" is derived from the Latin phrase res publica, which can be translated as "a public affair". In our eyes it helps define our hospitality and passionate culinary style. Quite simply, we don’t cook for us or our ego, we cook for and serve you. We strive to bring the rustic ambiance and fresh ingredient farm to table philosophy found throughout Italy, home to Colorado. We use the finest imported ingredients and century old artisan traditions to bring the definitive Neapolitan pizza experience to our guests.
The largest group we can accomodate in our Dining Room is 10 people.
For larger groups we have a Private Dining Room for up to 36 people.
For all large groups, 8 or more, please make a reservation. There will be times when we cannot seat large parties on a walk-in basis.

Pizza Republica - Denver Downtown Ratings and Reviews
Went to meet a friend that I havent seen in 8 years.
I suggested this place since its close to convention center and have been here before and was good but NOT THIS TIME.
We showed up on Thursday evening, bar empty with 1 other couple.
**Bartender ( female) basically talked to couple for 10-15 min b4 we were waited on and told us to "hold on"...
**She was semi quiet, snooty and a tad rude like we were inconveniencing her. Bar was empty 90% of the time until the plays were out.
**Food was so disappointing. Caprese salad- ( mozzarella was old, sour and bad), had a dirty plate to take back. Although the basic Italian salad with balsamic dressing was very good! Pizza was good.
**Overall, this dinner should of been a slam dunk, but we just overall felt like the waitress was a dud and was just kinda getting through her evening with energy nor care. Just going through motion I guess.
** This restaurant gets a ton of out of state customers so this is perfect place to shine.
Bartender usually ROCK! We Just had a dud night with service.
Best part of dinner was the service. We had an absolutely awesome Core Cori(?). I had margarita pizza. It was ok..served on the cool side, not piping hot. Chicken and pear salad, amazingly delicious. Rigatoni Bolognase was my hasband’s Choice...he loved it.duck and fig pizza also got a thum’s up. Nona’s stuffed shells...Yummy. Chianti 🍷 delicious. I would return often if I lived in Denver.
Our only complaint was the length of time it took to get our entrees after we ordered. We informed our server from the outset that we needed to be out at a certain time for the theater. Our drinks and salads came quickly, but it was at least another 20 minutes afterwards that we got our pizzas and then had to eat fairly quickly.
Everything was top notch. Quality ingredients combined with wood fired oven and our spicy Diablo pizza as good as ones we had in Italy. The beet and kale salad with candied walnuts, goat cheese was perfect taste combo. Our waiter Chris very attentive and made some great suggestions including fab tiramisu to end our meal.
We chose Pizza Republic due to being so close to the theatre, and the reviews were good. We loved it! The burratta appetizer is fantastic, and they have an extensive wine list. Our waitress was friendly, timely and had good suggestions. Will definitely go again!
The food was prompt, tasty and plentiful. I really appreciated our great service though. I've been getting more and more disenchanted with the service I seem to encounter in so many Denver restaurants lately, but that was not the case at Pizza Republica. Our server was so pleasant, made great recommendations, attentive and friendly. We will be back!
Great meal pre-theatre. Elvie was a very busy but attentive and personable wait person. We started out with sharing a tasty brushetta (note: the olive tapenade is very LIGHTLY spread throughout the tomatoes, but if you want to taste the goodness of it full out please ask your wait staff for a little extra) I had their Chicken Caesar salad which was AWESOME and there were 2 incredibly moist and delicious breaded chicken breasts on top of a very nice caesar dressing.(I'd LOVE to find out how they managed to flatten the chicken breasts and STILL stay o moist? Buttermilk marinade?)...but unfortunately there were just two halves of an anchovy on the salad. :(
Then my husband and I shared a Giacomo pizza (YUM!) but after the 2 entree sized salads (we were warned!) we were both too stuffed to finish it and had to bring it home (but it was just as delicious for lunch the next day.)
The atmosphere was great and the food was delicious! You could taste the homemade, love put into the food. The meatball was so good! Our server Chris was very helpful, knowledgeable and overall great in helping us to have a wonderful experience for the moment we sat down! Will definitely recommend!
We love going here - before going to the ballet at The Ellie or other shows! So close by!Plus the food is excellent! It is NOT just a pizza place! They a good selection of other choices, but their pizza is EXCELLENT! I especially love the Crisp Wild Mushroom Ravioli with Arugula! And also the Beet and Kale salad is another favorite! You shouldn't be disappointed!
We were very happy with our meal. But when our waiter learned we were splitting a salad and a pizza (me and my husband) it was obvious that he felt we wouldn't be a money-making table and the service was mediocre at best. Would definitely not recommend for a cost with so many other places to go
A favorite place of iours, especially before a play or concert. Or just for a glass of well selected Italian wine.
As ever before, ample portions of well prepared food from a menu more varied than the name "pizza" suggests. Too bad "republica" is misspelled, at least for Italian. On the other hand, to most of their clientele "repubblica" would look wrong!
We had reservations for 6 p.m. We were seated at 6 p.m. Our waiter walked by our table several times but never acknowledged that we were there. He finally took out order at 6:15. Thank goodness our food came out quickly or we would have been late for a 7:30 show. My pasta was all clumped together like someone forgot to stir it in the pot. The grilled shrimp was good though. I have been here twice. My first experience was much better.
Great location and festive atmosphere at Pizza Republica. The pizza was very good and we especially loved that they had honey to dip the pizza crust in! The service was good and we liked that they did not rush us through our meal, yet had us served and on the show on time.
We tried this place for a pre-show dinner. Loved the food and wait staff was very attentive. I had the gnocchi and my kids created and split a pizza (one is vegetarian). We also tried the desserts - i Loved the Cheescake & the kids practically licked their plates clean (one had the Cannelloni one had the orange cake).
Food was very good, we had pizza for our main course and the asparagus for appetizer. The custom made Sangria was excellent for cocktails. Location right at corner of convention center is very convenient to Preforming Arts Center, as we dined outside on a beautiful Colorado day.
Was very underwhelmed during this visit. It wasn't very busy, yet the staff had trouble handling the amount of tables. Food was ok at best. Pizza was burnt in places to a point of being inedible. A bowl of noodles for the kids was very overpriced and the portion was small. No childrens cups available. Our first visit here was better, but not much. We do not plan to return.
