Pine Tavern Restaurant
We had a wonderful dinner and the service was great. The only disappointment was that the weekend specials were gone and our reservation was at 6:45 on Saturday.
I love this place. You can choose a quiet meal in the back or an upbeat, exciting meal in the bar area. The food is great and the service is fabulous.
Waiter walked away half way thru taking drink orders, food took well over an hour to come to the table, was cold upon arriving at table. Neighboring table spilled a drink and staff actively tried to avoid helping. We've been coming here for over 30 years when we're in Bend, but we will not be back.
Quinn was our waiter and he knew exactly what to get. It was an amazing meal and great service. Was a wonderful experience! Definitely a place for a great dinner. My steak was perfect the apps were unreal and the drinks were damn good
The private dining area was absolutely amazing! Staff was friendly and attentive. Food was delicious! Highly recommend the steak and Reggie’s dessert!
Lovely time for Valentine's Day. Most accommodating.
Out of town guest from Chicago. Always a great place.
Our server Quinn was awesome and we had a wonderful meal and evening with friends! What a wonderful restaurant this is for visitors and locals alike... Enjoy everyone, we sure did!!!
The food was delicious! We had gone for my grandfather’s birthday and was a little bummed out by our waiter. He took a long time to come around to get our drink order and then our food order. The table behind us was brought out dessert with a candle (& sang happy birthday to) whereas our waiter didn’t do that. We usually have amazing service here, but tonight was subpar. We will attribute it to an off night but will be back in the future because the food was amazing.
We were there for Saturday lunch. A wide selection of lunch items available. I had the shaved brussels sprouts salad, which was new to me and was excellent. Nice service.
Pine Tavern has been a favorite of ours for over 20 years, we love the ambience, and had a beautiful view of the river for our anniversary dinner. The steak salad was fabulous and of course the scones and honey butter are always awesome.
Food and service were mediocre at best. We were never asked if we wanted a second drink or glass of wine with our dinner and although we asked for after dinner coffee it never arrived. I used to love the beef stroganoff, but this time it was dry and tasted similar to any frozen meal you could get at the grocery store. It seems like maybe this iconic restaurant is phoning it in and using their past reputation to lure out of town diners rather than locals. Disappointing.
The Pine Tavern has come into it's glory again. We all have "seasons" and PT is no exception. The tailored menu is limited, but has a bit of something for everyone. The wine list is good, showing some variety. (Also note a corkage fee if you want to bring your own.) The service is attentive and the staff has some longevity, which is nice for consistency. The noise level in the garden room is perfect. It's like a wall opens/closes with the front/bar section, but pass into the garden room and you will join others who are there for the experience. The ambiance is just what you would expect from a "locals choice." You can dress up or down here....and feel comfortable both ways.
New Year’s Eve. Two couples enjoyed a wonderful dinner.
Our server, DJ, was HIGHLY competent, informed and gracious.
We left satisfied in every way.
Fantastic food. Great service. The cocktails were fantastic.
My boyfriend and I had a wonderful dinner to celebrate his 50th b-day..... he had the prime rib, and it was made to perfection, and I had the pesto ravioli, which was also very good... very pleased! Our waiter was Quinn, and he was great! Very personable, attentive and provided everything we needed. We will be back to visit again.....
Always a welcoming environment with good service and good food. Nice for a casual meal out
We have had only really good experiences at the Pine Tavern so we were excited to spend Christmas evening there for a holiday dinner. Sadly it did not live up to our expectations. One menu item, which 2 from our party wanted to order was no longer available, we received the wrong dessert menu so could not place the orders we wanted and another after dinner drink was completely sold out. The food we did get was okay but not great and one of our party felt sick to their stomach most of the night. Our waitress did try to make amends offering a coupon for a return visit and was apologetic but our special night out was a bit of a let down.
We went for Christmas dinner when we were on vacation in Bend. The menu was limited to four items, and they had run out of one of them (which two people in my party had wanted), so that was a bit disappointing. However, all in all, it was a positive dining experience.
The food was very tasty, the atmosphere was great and the service was excellent.
We had Christmas dinner at the Pine Tavern and our server, Leena (sp?) was awesome! She had already worked a long shift, but was still so friendly and attentive. We had a great table for two and the ambiance was relaxed and cozy. The only drawback was that the meal was someone rushed, although understandable given the crowds waiting for a table. This was our 2nd Christmas dinner in a row at the Tavern, and we look forward to making this a yearly tradition. Thank you!!
Brought my family there for Christmas Dinner. We had a wonderful meal and the service was great. Knowing it was Christmas I thought the service might be a little spotty but it was terrific. Food was very good on a limited menu that had something for everyone. We might make it a tradition every Christmas.
We went for Christmas dinner which was a fixed menu. That was fine, but the food was uninspired. I couldn't even taste anything that would indicate a specific salad dressing, I felt as if I was on a diet. Viniegrette is nice but a little basil or other flavoring please. Very little herbal flavor to any of the food. It was marginal.
Great service, good food.
We visited the Pine Tavern Restaurant on Christmas Eve. Our dinner and service was excellent. I would like to extend an extra special thank you to the hostess that evening. There was a fire across the street and our car was blocked in the public parking lot by police and firefighters and their equipment. On this especially cold, below freezing, night the hostess graciously allowed us to sit inside the lobby/bar area while we waited for the roads to clear. We are very appreciative of her and the restaurant’s patience and kindness. Thank you!! We will be back.
The service was prompt and friendly. I love the scones with the honey butter. The food is good and I feel the price is reasonable.
Even at the holiday, the food and service were very good. The scones weren’t quite as good as I remember, but a nice touch. The sea bass was excellent and cooked perfectly. Everyone enjoyed their entree. The bread pudding was huge and sooo good. The evening was rounded out with one of the most cozy ambiances in Bend.
Great food, noise level a little tough...
Lunch with Client Friend
Pine Tavern has been a family favorite for decades. A culinary treat, beautiful setting and excellent service.
The only issue was how long we had to wait for the table, 45 minutes past an early reservation time
Waiter lacked warmth. Felt like it was because we didn't order a bunch of wine? Strangely officious for a place like that. Food was decent, but there is better food to be had in Bend.
We are new in town and didn’t know what to expect but we really enjoyed it!
We were seated immediate. Great service and amazing food. The scones with honey butter are amazing.
It was for an 88th birthday and Pine Tavern was perfect! I made a request for a quiet table with a view and the delivered!
New in town and we’ve already been to Pine Tavern three times. The food has always been good here as well as the friendly staff. We will definitely be dining here again soon.
Pine Tavern is our go to place for special occasions. The food always is perfectly prepared and the service is excellent.
I had the chicken fried chicken was very salty. I couldn’t eat the breading. I go every time I’m in Bend. I’ll probably pass next time.
The Pine Tavern is a Bend must. The ambiance is classy - candles, jazz standards, and a view of the Deschutes. The food and staff is ALWAYS fantastic. It's truly a breath of fresh air in the midst of pubs (and don't get me wrong - I love Bend's brew culture!)
The menu on the website has not been updated in over a year. They list a stuffed salmon but we were informed it hasn't been on the menu for over a year. We left as that is what we came for.
It was a good evening, our server was very good. He had a great personality and made it fun.
