We love to travel, and to eat! We have found that our most enjoyable and memorable dining experiences have been where we were able to order many small plates with just a few perfect bites of food, that we could share. Sharing food and experiences together made our connections to one another as a family stronger and more meaningful.
Piattini means "small plates" in Italian. Our fabulous creations are crafted from the finest, freshest ingredients; Organic, farm-raised, and locally sourced. We offer gluten- free options for 90% of our menus.
Food and drink brings people together, which brings community together. We hope that Piattini will become a favorite neighborhood spot in which community can gather and enjoy delicious meals, share some wine and savor good company.

We have never had a bad experience at this restaurant. The server’s are kind, and the bar attendance is knowledgeable.
Super!! Food is DElish!
Consistent quality and service. This is a great place for business lunch and dinner.
We enjoy eating here often but usually for lunch. There were definitely some things missing on this evening. We never got bread. We had to ask for water refills. In other words, the service wasn’t attentive. Eggplant parmigiana had more ziti than eggplant, which was disappointing.
Appetizer, bread and main course Dee opus and well worth the $$. The variety of deserts disappointing and the New York Cheese cake certainly not New York.
Good food for price. Would try it again.
It was all very good.
Parking was great, food was fantastic, service was outstanding!
After concert dinner with friends. Our server was the best. She did an incredible job of keeping 8 diners happy.
Took my dad out for dinner and was a bit disappointed, especially for the price. Service was slow (didn’t appreciate water refills when the glass is handed back by holding the rim, yuck.) The calamari was rubbery and tasteless though the lemon aioli was nice but we didn’t eat it after first bite. Even after expressing concern, item was not discounted nor was there an offer to exchange. The fettuccine was ok, and the eggplant Parmesan was mediocre (served on ziti, which was unusual). After reading earlier reviews, this was not the experience we were looking forward to.
We had a great meal, nice bottle of wine and awesome creme brulee for dessert. I love the artichoke appetizer and the lasagna was terrific.
waitress was ok but didn't know what a particular coffee drink was and brought something rather strange
instead of asking what it was. Gave us credit for it, but would have been better to ask what it was we wanted.
Food and service were excellent for New Year's Eve. The artichoke appetizer was delicious - I'll get it again next time!
Piatanzi is one of my favorite restaurants in Albuquerque. If you haven’t tried it yet you should.
Our neighborhood bar...we love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Need a senior menu. Portions are huge. Ok warmed up at home. Carbonara the best since Al Montes.
great food, great service, even as our story telling kept us in the restaurant way pass closing and any other customers they didn't rush us. Simply put us they were great host as well. They created an enjoyable time accented with good food and let us order and eat at our pace not theirs.
Salad was over dressed and we split the lasagna, only my partner didn’t get any noodles. Very strange and disappointing.
Our group of 4-5 friends are regulars at Piatanzi but this visit showed the poorly managed side of the place.
The waitress was frazzled and slow and forgetful. The kitchen took forever to prepare our meals and four arrived at nearly the same time while the fifth meal was delayed by 3-5 minutes, which is unacceptable.
The restaurant needs to review its service and kitchen timing and improve its performance or it will slide into a boring, poorly managed place.
Our small group had somewhat difficult time hearing one another until the two larger parties left. The food was very good and the service outstanding. We did have a really nice time.
Delicious as ever.
Great Food! Very fast service! Great selection!
Consistently good service and outstanding value choice of wine! Dishes are perfect for business meal as well as everyday dining.
The carbinara had too much pepper. The seafood pasta was great.
Went to eat here based on open table reviews and the menu looked delicious. When we arrived, the restaurant smelled like something burned. Went to use the restroom, it smelled really bad, like the sewer was backed up or something. Our table was wobbling all over the place which they finally fixed. Their house cab was terrible. The meal was tasteless and the grilled veggies had a weird taste. Ordered one of the sides of baked Mac and cheese, it was so hot thru the entire meal, it burned my mouth. The meal was priced like a fine dining meal, not worth the price. Couldn’t wait to get out of there. Makes me wonder who is leaving all those favorable reviews. Won’t go back. Don’t think they will make it. The restaurant wasn’t very full for a Saturday nite. Not for foodies.
The salads were all fresh and carefully constructed. When the restaurant gets busy, the noise level is a bit loud.
We loved it so much we went back the next night for more delicious food!
We always hav a lovely, delicious time at Piatanzi!
My experience was poor due to the fact that I have food sensitivities and requested that the salad dressing and pesto were put on the side. Three times I had to send my food back for them not being able to follow the instructions. After sending the food back, our waitress had an attitude with us. It was very obvious as she was very abrupt with us and then would walk to an adjacent table and totally change her attitude and tone to pleasant with the other customers.
We dined late afternoon and enjoyed our meals very much. The resturant was quiet at that time but was filled up by the time we left.
We love this place. Reasonably priced higher-end Italian restaurant. This is our go-go for birthdays because everyone can afford it and we can still get a really good meal.
It's a great restaurant! If you are in Albuquerque, you should go!
Our recent visit to Piatanzi proved once again that this restaurant is a great one for dining with friends. While the ambiance has a nice urban vibe, they somehow manage to temper the noise level, allowing for easily heard conversation. We were a bit disappointed with a too dry chicken parmigiana for one of us, but the food was generally quite good, the service excellent, and the prices quite reasonable.
The service this time around was inattentive. Maybe the chef can learn to prepare a vegetarian special one in a while.
Enjoyed the service and food at Piatanzi. Menu has many offerings and has a nice atmosphere.
Dining at Piatanzi is always delightful. Our wait staff made it even better this time; the recommended wine (Bordeaux blanc) was an excellent choice at a great price point. Getting a recommendation from someone knowledgeable made a huge difference.
As usual, this was an enjoyable luncheon experience.
Deliciously fresh entree’s! We look forward to dining here again! Excellent service!
We had an exceptionally pleasant evening. Faron, the waitress, was great even though she was definitely super busy. She was pleasant, professional and patient and we all appreciated it. The food was good and I have already recommended this nice place to several friends.
Piatanzi was a let down, as the gluten free pizza I ordered was served to me yet the dough was raw. The mozzarella was slathered on to perhaps hide the raw crust, and it tasted like rubber. I told the server about the uncooked crust, and he took it back for the kitchen to remake it. The second pizza came out, again with massive amounts of cheese on it, but the crust was fully cooked. Flavor was lacking, and the rubbery cheese overpowered any hint of marinara, basil, garlic, or the green chile I got on my pizza. The server brought the bill and explained that he did not charge for the gluten free pizza. After reviewing the bill, there was still a charge for the gluten free pizza with green chile. When I asked about it (only because he had said he didn't charge for it), he stated that he didn't charge for the first pizza. The one that was served raw. That, and the rubbery mozzarella, left a bad taste in my mouth.
