I’ve dined at Panzano before, but I’ve had better service and experience like this time. We’re celebrating our anniversary and no one seemed to notice or mention anything about it. Sorry to say it, but we won’t be back.
As a longstanding and loyal Panzano diner, this was the most disappointing meal I've ever experienced there. It was during "restaurant week", and quite busy. My wife and I were entertaining two guests from California, and had "bragged up" Panzano's as equal to any Italian restaurant in the Bay Area, where we've visited our guests' home many, many times.
Turns out the service was incredibly slow; at times we thought the server had actually forgotten about us. The food was a bit over room temperature by the time it got to our table, and the we all regrettably agreed the quality was just not up to snuff- - - perhaps because it was so busy. Still, no real excuse, and it was an expensive meal.
We had the restaurant week specials and they were DELICIOUS!! From appetizer to dessert, we were in absolute heaven. Service was great too - downgraded to a 4 because had to wait a bit for a glass of wine. I had never been but will definitely return AND recommend to friends. FABULOUS!!

From check-in to being seated was a delightful conversation with the hostess. Our waiter was well versed and was enthusiastic about the specials of the day. The food was second to non, this if my favorite Italian restaurant in Denver and my favorite Date-Night with my wife restaurant in Denver.

Went for brunch, our server was outstanding. Super friendly, helpful and attentive to our needs. I ordered the special which was a risotto and poached egg, delicious. I've been there for happy hour and dinner and never been disappointed. Great place.

It was Denver Restaurant Week, the DCPA Playwright Reading Summit and our night. We were seated immediately even though we were early. J, our server, welcomed us and asked if we would like something to drink. I ordered a Manhattan while my husband ordered Graffito. Very good. My husband ordered the Fritto Misto (fried calamari) and I ordered the Cavolini di Bruxelles (fried brussels sprouts) for the appetizers. Loved it. I ordered the Ricotta Ravioli which was beautiful, delicate and delicious while hubs had the Polpette di Maiale (pork belly meatballs on polenta) which he enjoyed and so did I.
While we were enjoying our meal, we were completely taken care of by the staff. I love how the staff would ask about an empty plate before removing it, asking if we needed anything and were we enjoying our meal. For dessert, I had the Nutella Tart which had a scoop of pistachio ice cream which was to die for and my husband had the Tiramisu which was done in a small bowl and it melted in your mouth. We enjoyed our coffees then and relaxed before heading back.
What a great way to check out a restaurant and to find out that we will be coming back. Thank you for a wonderful meal and evening.

Four of us had reservations for dinner last Friday. My friends were from CA, MT, WY and CO and we get together once or twice a year to relive the last 40 years of life. We can be loud and tough customers. Upon entering Panzano we were quickly greeted and told that our table was being set up. As we stood, an order of fried calamari went by and my Pizano friend said, they look and smell great. Next to come by was the Piatto Di Artigianale. I knew that was going to be an appetizer also. Once seated, we were greeted by our server Chris. She took one look at us and I think that she figured "oh boy". She told us that our primary server would be a young lady who was on her last evening of "training" and asked us to be "gentle". If we tossed our young server a "verbal punch", she would take it, smile and then deliver back an even greater punch. She was the champ. We spent 2+ hours eating, drinking, laughing and being loud. Our young server was outstanding, professional and gracious. Chris monitored our table and it was if we had our own private service. If you go, ask for Chris. She knows the business and the food and she will roll with the group. If you want formal, Chris can do that. If you are more "relaxed", she does that too. Each of us ordered a different dishes. Quality was outstanding and proportions were exactly correct for enjoying a full meal of Antipasti, Zuppe E Insalate, Pasta or Secondi, Contorni and Dolci. Actually, for our Dolci, the four of us split the Tiramisu and it satisfied us. For four old boys who do nothing but party, spend money like the drunken sailors we are and reminisce about 40 years of days gone by, Panzano could not have been a better setting. Perfect food, well made drinks, impeccable service and they put up with us and made us feel at home. I can not say enough positive things about Panzano. I wish that there was at least one negative so that maybe you'd believe me, but there wasn't. Thank you again, Chris.

The food was as good or better than we had in northern Italy last fall. The service was impeccable but not intrusive.
Chris was a great server!! The food was everything we’ve heard it was. Atmosphere was private and had good energy.
Five for lunch. Three had pizza which was excellent. The special omelet was average. The pasta excellent. Capuchinno was divine. Efficient and friendly service. Great anbiance. I will return when I return to town.

Panzano is always a wonderful dining experience. We chose to go back for Valentines dinner. It was amazing.
Wow- what a great dining experience! We used to be regular customers but the Denver area traffic has changed our regular locations. We were coming down on Valentine's Day for the Symphony and thought we'r revisit Panzano. Traffic was like L.A. and we had to call twice ( 1 1/4 hours from Lone Tree) but Hannah held our table for us . Then Jose, our server, recognized us even though it had been a couple of years! The next pleasant surprise was when the Chef made us some olive tampanade as it was no longer on the menu. Mac, the General Manager, stopped at our table and we had a delightful conversation about wine (new world vs. old and the Northwest vs. Napa). I thought we'd have to make a quick wine selection and wolf down a couple of small plates but Jose was so attentive, and the kitchen so sensitive to our time schedule, that we had a wonderful dining experience and still made the show!. The food was outstanding, as we remembered, but everyone's personal and attentive service made for a great experience. Thanks! Mark & Nancy
As we have been to Panzano about once a year for five years, we have not seen a decrease in the quality of the experience. It still remains high all the way around. The only concern is that we maybe weren't presented everything that was available to us. See my notes below.
That said, we did notice some changes since we were last there. For instance, there used to be a more electronic menu and now there is a paper menu. I don't know if that was confusing to some, but it was a change. We also didn't notice a wines by the bottle list. Maybe we just didn't ask for one, so it wasn't presented? Outside of that, the food and drinks were excellent.
My wife and I shared an appetizer of the fried brussels sprouts. We've had this a number of times over the years and are never disappointed. I had the Farro Con Giardino (Farro Risotto), which was very filling and my wife had the Braciola (Berkshire pork chop) We exchanged meals half way through so we could try out each other's main meal.
I do notice that the online bar menu is much more extensive that what we were presented. We did split and enjoy a flight of the Amari, but I notice that online they even claim to have Armagnac. I wish I had known!

Panzano used to be one of my favorite restaurants. However, the service I received at my most recent visit was horrible. I intentionally came in early to enjoy their superb happy hour. We were seated in the dining area - five feet away from the lounge/bar area. The hostess gave us the happy hour menu and two regular menus. We had our items from the HH menu picked out and ready to order, when our waiter informed us that we were NOT allowed to order from the happy hour menu because we were seated in the dining room area. To clarify, I asked the waiter, "So you're telling me that if I get up and move 5 feet to the right and sit at that table right there, you'll serve me the happy hour menu, but not if I stay at this table right here?" He said that's right. I asked to see a manager. The manager comes by our table, and I point out how damn ridiculous this policy is, and he dismisses my complaint and says I can move over there if I want. So my friend and I get up and move to the lounge/bar area and proceed to order the happy hour... but then here's the kicker - Panzano then retroactively takes away my OpenTable points and says I was a "No Show" for the reservation!! I couldn't believe it. Not only is their happy hour policy completely devoid of logic, but they're scrooges too!
They have officially lost a longtime customer.
Fantastic experience at Panzano
The food was very good but markedly overpriced. The waiter was the worst part of the experience. He was condescending and a bit of a smart aleck- I expected greater professionalism.
We ate at Panzano because it was snowing and we were guests at the Kimpton Hotel Monaco. We were blown away. Everything is excellent. The service is amazing, the food is imaginative while being true to Italian 'roots'. You can see the care that goes into every component of the meal. Even minor details like the pickled vegetables on the cheese tray are not overlooked. My wife and I have been back several times since and every time has been just as good.
The Brussels sprouts are one of the best sprout dishes I’ve ever had. The arancini were a little salty and cheese heavy for my taste. Overall great experience.
Excellent food and service. Only 1 issue, they delivered wrong appetizers to our table. Took 10 minutes to correct the issue. They were not that busy for Saturday night 7pm. There were open tables. Very accommodating when I had to add a guest, and get a bigger table for late arriving guest. I would absolutely recommend Panzano for a great dining experience.

This is a restaurant in a Kimpton hotel. Unfortunately the design and ambience are somewhat austere and functional, like the hotel (which we have stayed at in the past). The food is good and generally rich and certainly filling: scallops, lamb and wild mushroom pasta, and the deserts were all very good. The service was excellent. Would certainly recommend for a business dinner, but maybe less so for a romantic evening.

The food was SO delicious and the waitstaff incredibly attentive and knowledgable about food allergies. The gluten free bread is INCREDIBLE (seriously, I was texting everyone I knew about how good it was before I even finished the first piece), the gluten free pasta perfectly tender and in a delicious sauce, and the broccolini flawlessly cooked with a slight sweetness to balance its natural flavors. I highly recommend Panzano!
