   My wife and I dined at Osteria last night. We each had the lasagna and a Caesar salad. Both were excellent. Our server Vincent did an efficient job. All In all a very enjoyable evening. Osteria continues to be our favorite Italian restaurant in Santa Fe.

   A real disappointment. We were looking forward to an Italian dinner. The restaurant is a welcoming charming clean space. Wait staff gracious but the food was definitely a let down. When I think of Italian food I think of the lovely flavors and the aromas of oregano, basil and garlic. Fresh lively blended flavors. None were present. The seafood was over sauced with lots of oil floating on the surface. Lasagna looked like lasagna but had little to recommend it was Italian. Perhaps if the restaurant had an Italian cook the traditions of the food would be present. Would not recommend nor repeat a visit.

   I found the fish specialty very bland and kind of tasteless. The soup was pretty good, but in comparing it to the other noted restaurants in Santa Fe, it comes in pretty low on the charts...

   I don’t like to leave negative reviews but it was absolute horrible. We paid $49 a piece for steak and eggs and the steak was nothing to write home about. Neither was the one or two eggs that they cooked. It was unbelievable. I will not be going back there anytime soon

   The Easter brunch was, as always, fabulous. The service was excellent and everyone we encountered was friendly and efficient. Osteria de Assisi continues to be our favorite Italian restaurant in New Mexico

   We had a great 3-generation family meal at Osteria. The food was delicious, server was engaged if perhaps stretched a bit thin, space was delightful. We definitely will return - many times when in town!

   We loved the place But there was one glaring failure in food and service on ordered the pasta entree. What was served was clearly the end of the cooking dish. There was virtually no pasta. There was no explanation by the server or waiter about the dish. Our companion was too polite to reject it because the entrees for the other 4 had just been served. We should have sent it back or demanded no charge for it but our companion was too nice for us to do that.

   The food was cold and I had to send my steak back twice. Poor service and lack of attention to detail when serving my meal. I do not recommend this restaurant!
