I've been to Osteria a number of times over the past years. The experience has been up and down. It's a lovely old house near the center of town. The hostess and waitpersons were all extremely nice. The problem was that I'm a vegan and there's virtually nothing on the menu. I tried to call ahead to let them know, but I could never get anyone on the phone; I left my number on their service but no one called me back. The pasta is made at the restaurant with egg, so as a vegan that's a non-starter. I ordered the bruschetta appetizer which the waiter said was vegan (I don't think he knew what vegan means): four very small wafer thin pieces of toast - two wafers had a very small amount of chopped onion and tomato, one had a tiny amount of eggplant and some other item, and the fourth had cheese and I think grapes (which, of course, I didn't eat). There was a small amount of lettuce in the center. $20 - about 40 cents to a dollar's worth of food, plus preparation maybe $4. My dinner companion ordered veal piccata. She said it was tough, ate a very small amount and took it home for her dog. Including tip it was almost $100. Again, the waitpersons were extremely nice. I can't say much more except that where we were sitting was very loud.

We had a great waiter that made up for the deficiencies that occurred. We each ordered a mixed drink and both drinks were way sub-par. The waiter told us that the bartender was new, and that was real obvious. I think that she needs a lot more training before tackling a job at a relatively upscale restaurant. The noise level is always loud at this restaurant. We were hoping to be outside on Osteriea's nice patio, but the weather did not cooperate. I loved my dish, but my wife was ony so,so about hers.

Dan, our waiter, was great but very over worked. The alcoholic drinks were not brought out for a long time and when my dad's Johnny Walker on ice was brought out it was watered down. Our food took much time to get to us. People who sat after us, received their food before us. The service could have been overall better, it was much different than when we ate there a couple of years ago. My mom and dad had not been there, and I raved about it before we got there, they were not that impressed. It would have liked a better outcome... it was a dinner for Mother's Day.

The restaurant has started charging an additional fee to pay by credit or even debit card. We paid with a debit card, and had an additional $5.50 added to our bill. We were not pleased. Also my salad was not very good, basically kale with dressing, nor was one of our entrees. We have gone there many times in the past, and this was our worst experience there. Very disappointing. We wonder if there is new management.

Visited on April 25th for double birthdays. the service was efficient and the food was excellent. Our waiter was attentive and was certainly a character with a few stories which added to the hospitality level. Portions were spot on with all three of us too full for desert. Wine list was good, without ridiculous prices. Any good point was the availability of parking very close which is an issue in Santa Fe. Good decision to visit, highly recommended

Larry, our server was friendly & knowledgeable about the menu. We have eaten here before and it’s always a treat. Delicious entrees and going back Friday for pizza. It’s a definite go to spot when you’ve had enough Southwest food.

The food and wine selection are superb. I was impressed with the unique ingredient combinations of everything from appetizers to dessert. The ambiance inside is charming with a lovely painted mural of Italy 🇮🇹 The lighting is warm and romantic. The service is friendly and professional. Note: The food creations are specially prepared, so please award them your patience. It is worth the wait. Our entire dining experience was so wonderful, it makes me wish I lived in Santa Fe.

We had a wonderful dinner here. We started with the burrata and it was really delicious with enough to share. The lamb special was absolutely delicious and served in plentiful cuts. The lobster soup was creamy, rich and delicious. The ravioli homemade was very delicious as was the veal. Our server Leslie was friendly, professional, extremely attentive and informative. She knew the menu and answered our questions with ease. We chose the chocolate ravioli and lemon tarte for desserts and were the best we have ever had! A wonderful place to eat across from the beautiful courthouse.

We chose Osteria D'Assisi to celebrate our anniversary while visiting Santa Fe. We had a fabulous meal. Our waiter, Gerson, was outstanding. He displayed all the subtle mannerisms of excellent service. Our meals were delicious and attractively plated. We never felt rushed as each part of the meal was paced appropriately. We shared the insalata alla cesare, which the waiter served in two plates, so we didn't have to fuss with sharing at the table. My husband enjoyed his piccata di vitello (veal piccata). I ordered the chef's special (tender chicken with vegetables over house-made capellini with a delicious pesto cream sauce). To top off our wonderful meal, our server brought us complimentary glasses of in-house limoncello (lemon liqueur) to celebrate the special occasion. The restaurant was a short walk from our hotel. It appears to be a very popular and busy place, even on a midweek night in April. We had a elegant meal which was reasonably priced as compared with other fining dining options in the area. It made for a very memorable evening.

Osteria d’Assisi One of our favorite restaurants in Santa Fe is Osteria d’Assisi – not only because of the great food and service, but also because of its genuinely romantic ambience. Tonight was also special and we again enjoyed another delightful dining experience. For starters, we enjoyed a special appetizer of clams, mussels and diced tomatoes in a delicious tomato bisque broth. My wife ordered the Veal Ravioli with tomato cream sauce – she said it was outstanding and really excellent! I had the Veal Piccata (scallopini) which was perfectly balanced in a butter-caper sauce – but, while half the veal slices were perfect, the other half tasted a bit undercooked and almost rubbery. Maybe the kitchen was rushed and missed uniform pounding of the veal. Nonetheless, we had a very nice dining experience overall, thanks to an efficient and personable server Don S. Prices reasonable for the high quality of food. Very highly recommended.

We had a wonderful dinner! The service was excellent and food suggestions were outstanding. We had the veal ravioli as an appetizer which was a wonderful suggestion by our server! If we are ever back in Santa Fe there will definitely be a return visit!

We were seated in a room with tons of elementary kids, the only table without kids. We are 4 women on a ladies trip. The room was so loud, we couldn’t talk and enjoy our wine. They wouldn’t move us. They only care about making money, they serve so so food at expensive prices. Avoid……
