It was a bit load. To load to have a comfortable conversation.
Very hip place. Great service! Menu could be better. Overall good experience
Live music and brunch in a cool atmosphere... one of the best brunches we have had in Denver! Best atmosphere yet!
This place is just Fun!! Great ambiance. Terrific brunch fair and they do a really good job on the cocktails.
Great food and and the ability to watch a show while you eat is awesome!
Pianist was kinda boring
We will definitely both come back! The service was good, she was not interruptive and the plates came out in a timely manner. Both of us loved our drinks (the sangria and never enough). Then for dinner we split small plates including the duck meatballs, spring cheese incident, the squash, and pork belly. The spring cheese incident wasn’t as good as I was hoping based on reviews. It was good just not what it was hyped up to be. Then everything else was delicious. The meat was tender and prepared well on both dishes and the flavors were great. We got the 4 small plates and we probably could have gotten one more. It was a little pricey, but manageable to split between the two. I didn’t notice the noise level which was nice and the ambience is very cool with a different set up than most restaurants since it is centered around a stage. I can’t wait to return!
Amazing brunch! The food and atmosphere were both spot-on. Get the spring cheese incident as a starter. Highly recommend!
Very interesting destination...and I’m so glad we went. Nostalgic and a bit erotic female-movie-poster decor (which aligns to the history of the building being a brothel years ago). Small tables, but designed to enjoy the performances that occur later at night. High energy place, for sure. Eclectic cocktail menu; I had the PG 13, a vodka soda with dill and pickle and it was good, but I probably wouldn’t order it again as there were so many intriguing and unique libations on the menu. Dinner special of sea bass was perfect size for dinner and only $21, which was also a great deal.
Went for dinner, then saw a show. This really is a great venue--but as a first-timer to the venue, it's totally unclear the best way to have an Ophelia's experience. (I paid $60 for tickets in advance for a show after our dinner... but my dinner table had just as good a view of the stage as my concert seats.) Our cocktails felt watered down. Our food was either ambitious and really good, or ambitious but imperfect. I will definitely be back, I just think I'll know better on a few fronts!
LOVE this space!! Its like eye candy everywhere you look and the food and music is GREAT!! Thank you ophelias
Loved your place..... very cool place and food wonderful.
We went because FLAT OUT JAZZ band was playing. They are a great band. Hope to hear them there again! :)
On a Sunday night, the venue wasn't too crowded and we had a perfect view of the band on the lower level. The service was excellent and let us choose where we wanted to sit and let us taste the wine options. It was perfect for a girl's date night.
Ophelia's has a very cool vibe with great food options. It's almost impossible to carry on a conversation with your group while a band is playing, so I'd recommend making dinner reservations early before the live music, then stay for the band.
Enjoyed a late meal, some drinks, and the band that followed.
The seating is a bit cramped bar style, went during the restraunt week, the octopus was ok had beans, the duck meatballs were good. I had the sea bass with root veggies didn't like it odd flavors. The buffalo burger was good, the desserts were okay, fried ice cream and butterscotch pudding. For the $70 bill for 2 people I wasn't impressed, I thought restraunt week were about deals, seemed a bit pricey for a deal.
Great food, good drinks, the service was rushed but we’ll definitely be back.
Very unique place with great food.
We had VERY slow service and the restaurant wasn't that crowded. Disappointing as this was my first time dining here and I'd heard so many great things about it.
Delicious meal, fun relaxing ambiance and pleasant service. We’ll return!
Excellent food, good drinks, lovely ambiance. We'll be back!
Had an amazing time. The atmosphere was incredible and the food was absolutely delicious. Thanks for the good time!
Had a great girls night for restaurant week.
What a fantastic gem in Denver! Great place for a date night. Between the amazing food, live and talented local musicians and terrific service, this place literally and figuratively Rocks! I tell all my friends about Ophelias.
We had a great time for restaurant week! We've been before and will be back again!
We loved the atmosphere at Ophelia's! Great music and great food.
Great food, great music, extraordinary atmosphere--just one of Denver's great venues. Outstanding friendly service.
This may just be a personal opinion, but we we're disappointed with our experience. We went for restaurant week because we enjoy trying new places and we love some of their sister restaurants.
It was advertised that there was live music on the weekends, however we sat down and had to yell to each other because if the live band on a Tues night. The only thing we enjoyed with the decorations were the old radios behind the stage, everything else was based off the original purpose of the building, a brothel and peep show. Call us prude but that's not what we like to see while eating.
The appetizer was good, honestly the best part of the meal. We got the shishitso poppers and cheese curds. Those were pretty good, the cheese curds being the best. We got the Sea Bass which seemed more like salmon to us, and the hanger steak. The Sea Bass was seasoned very well but the sides were less than desirable. The hanger steak, unfortunately, was a major disappointment. It tasted off, had the smell of dog food, and did not blend well with the sides.
We forfeited dessert and chose to go somewhere else, due to the noise level and disappointment with our entrees.
We will still go to their sister restaurants, but we will not be going back to ophilias or suggesting it to our friends and family.
Every year we like to try a restaurant that's a little outside our comfort zone during restaurant week. The dining choices were different enough to dare us to try them and Ophelia's is definitely a Do Over place. The staff juggled some things to help us seat an extra person in our party and the history of the building is unique. We had a great time and really enjoyed the food
Good food and drinks, even better ambiance. Great live music and eccentric decor.
We were there for way 53rd bday and had a reservation. The food was quite good bit the service for our drinks was quite slow. The jazzy little band was nice.
We tried Ophelias with friends for Denver Restaurant week. We had so much fun. The atmosphere and live music were great. Our waitres, Melissa was fun, friendly and attentive.
All the food and specialty cocktails were great. We’ll be back.
Great place to have a boozy brunch with the bottomless mimosas whilst watching live music.
Great food, carefully prepared in a clearly themed environment. Music is loud but not too loud, seating was comfortable fast and on time.
One of the best restaurant week menus we've had over the past few years. Such a fun and bawdy decorated place!
We tried this restaurant for restaurant week. The apps. were grilled octopus & Scandinavia duck meatballs. Entrees were wild sea bass & Fronteire bison burgers. The desserts were butterscotch pudding & fried ice cream. My husband & I ate half of everything so we could both taste the menu. Sort of confused the attentive waitress, but we reassured her by saying we were foodies. Everything was scrumptious, service was exceptional. They even had a live jazz ban playing, which was very good.Get there early, we ate at 5pm. We will be back!
Pretty fun night. Restored venue, visually well done, with an interesting menu, attentive service, and good entertainment. Hard to beat.
Great service, great spot to take friends or enjoy date night!
Fun, eclectic place to try tapas in a very different way. Food is excellent and service is good. Fun date night or everyday dining experience and very creative use of space and food.
After a long drive in the snow on I-70 during rush hour, Ophelia’s was exactly what we needed. Food was hot, delicious and inventive - atmosphere was fun and eccentric - service was quick and attentive.
Every dish was well crafted and comforting, without being boring - and we each had an extra drink because the cocktail list just kept impressing us. Loved it.
(We did move to the bar, instead of sitting at the 2-top booths that line the stage. I imagine these seats are prime during shows, but felt a little claustrophobic and isolated on a Monday evening.)
