Ophelia's Electric Soapbox
Music schedule and ticket purchases can be found at opheliasdenver.com
Ophelia’s has taken many forms: located in the historic 1894-era Victorian Airedale building, it was a brothel, turned peep show, turned adult video library.
We serve as a restaurant, bar, and live music venue, with a boudoir-style
décor that honors the building’s past; and Ophelia, the muse. Continuing the Edible Beats tradition of delicious, responsibly-sourced food, the upscale, gastrobrothel-inspired menu will include fresh, craveable takes on flatbread
pizza, small plates, burgers, and shareable charcuterie boards.
Amazing food in such a unique place! Service was exceptional (Grace was our waitress and had excellence the suggestions and was so kind).
Although too loud for a conversation, great fun listening to live music. Fabulous food. As a vegetarian I am rarely happily surprised ... I was beyond happily surprised !!! Great place.
I love Ophelia's! I've been here a number of times and every experience has been great. The food and drinks are always delicious (though not cheap, but it's worth it here!) and it's a wonderful, intimate, quirky venue that often features well-known artists at a fraction of the cost of other venues. I love the spunk and energy of this place and will be back.
Delicious food and cocktails.
It was SO LOUD we left before the show started. Food was great. Who the hell does your sound?
Quirky kind of crazy place. Very unique. Food was delicious. I had the chicken and waffles. Excellent local beer choices.
The food was so flavorful And incredible. Also not a “bad” seat in the entire place. Staff was beyond courteous and pleasant! I would 100% eat here again!
Not for families but amazing adult date night. Loved the live music!
Our waitress was a doll and we had the best time! So much fun, food is delicious! Loved for a brunch and day drinking!
Celebrating a birthday! Sat on patio. Weather was perfect. Excellent food and service. Vegan options!
I love this place and the live music. Noise is fine until the live comes on but you can still talk. And the acts they bring are great! Food is always good and creative. Fresh and tasty. Great drink menu and one of my favorites!!
Great dueling pianos!
Outstanding experience- wish we had more time - will be back to this Denver hotspot
Amazing venue, great ambience, live music of many different types! It is one of my favorite places to go!!!
It was a wonderful time with great food, wonderful staff and swag vibe!
We had a great time. We came with our friends who live in denver for years. Absolutely loved it
Great service delicious food fun atmosphere. Jason and Jolene were awesome
Great service and DJ was awesome. Fantastic food. Will make this a regular brunch place for certain. Looking forward to attending an evening event soon
My husband and I used to love this place, we hadn’t been in about a year or so and upon trying it again we won’t be back.
It took forever to get our drinks, we got 2 rounds, both of which took 10+minutes to get to us. And it took about 12 minutes for us to get greeted initially.
The food quality is just bad, the Mexican street corn is bland and mushy. The mole sauce was so disappointing. The oysters are extremely small, overshadowed by their chunky mignonette. The shrimp po boy flat read we had to send back, it was soggy and almost no shrimp on it. It was covered in iceberg lettuce and cheap tomatoes. Not a po boy at all.
What a fun brunch! The venue was great and the music was awesome! Food was good too!
It was a blast. I definitely wouldn't want to be there for an evening show (because I'm a mom and I'm old, heh), but for a moms getaway weekend brunch it was PERFECT. Saturday brunch had a DJ plus some esoteric German nonsense film on the projector. The food was tremendous; the drinks were tremendous. The bathroom yardsticks were fun. If I lived in Denver I would totally make this a monthly get-together location.
We had reservations and we were sat right away. We were there for a batchelorett party and wanted to have dinner and some drinks.
We were given some water for the table and then our waitress never came back. We waited for 15 minutes and saw our waitress go to other tables near us and go up to the bar to get drinks and never once did she look at us.
After 15 minutes and trying to wave her down, all 6 of us just stood up and left. I tried to tell someone up front we were leaving and there was no one there.
It was almost too loud to hear and the band had not yet started.
We will not be back.
Love this place. Several menu items resemble that of sister restaurant Root Down, which is a good thing. Enjoyed low key folk music with brunch, a refreshing alternative.
Great food, great atmosphere.
Great place to enjoy food and friends before a concert
Great restaurant the food was very good. great service the staff was great. great atmosphere a really neat place with a speak easy feel.
I had friends and family in town and we all loved it.
I can’t believe I haven’t been here before. I’ve definitely been missing out! The food was great (a little on the pricey side though) the service was great and the atmosphere was excellent. Watching live music during a Saturday brunch is exactly what I wanted and have been missing. It reminded me of a House of Blues/New Orleans type of brunch place used to visit. I loved it and I will be back again!
Brunch is great. Usually a live band playing, so it can make conversing difficult at times.
Always fun and delicious at Ophelia’s!
Service was awesome, we were checked in on frequently, and the food was even better! Not to mention they clearly bring in some high quality, talented performers for their shows. Recommend to anyone!
Food is super unique and so amazing! Great service, got the 600 degree steak and it blew my mind.
I took my mother to dine here while we watched a friend perform. It’s a really original and neat concept. The food is outstanding, a little expensive but worth it! I highly recommend the CBD orange soda and the bison burger 💜 will be back soon for date night!
Ophelia’s was great! I’ve been wanting to come here for over a year since I first heard about it and all expectations were met. Beware food comes in smaller portions (so don’t come starving) but the service, entertainment and overall dining experience was awesome. It’s a great intimate dining experience for for couples to watch live local music.
I had walked by Ophelia’s and always thought this place was a bar/venue but to my surprise they also serve food...made a reservation for brunch and it was amazing! I love the layout of the place. Got sat at one of the two-person booths that looks down onto the stage (there was a live music performer with cool beats). My gin version of a Bloody Mary was delish (aka Red Snapper). I opted to try the special of the day which was biscuits smothered in a chorizo gravy with fried chicken and a fried egg...best decision ever! It was so good I didn't leave a single spec of food. Definitely satisfied my brunch needs. Can't wait to visit this place at night.
Brought friends from out of town because we love this place and loved Flamenco brunch. Yesterday, however, was embarrassing and mortifying as the Jazz brunch talent was miserable. At least we know his name and will avoid that at all costs. Still love the place but it’s going to take some time to get over that.
Service was absolutely terrible...food was good however!
I booked this restaurant for our date/city night during it vacation to Denver. The space is very cool and relaxed with a good bit of people watching and a giant screen which, that night featured Soul Train videos and 80’s commercials. We were really excited about our table location which was directly overlooking a dance floor on the floor below. We had great drinks and appetizers and ended up staying for the super fun 80’s dance party that evening. It was a great pick for a fun night out! The crowd was fun and welcoming.
Always delicious, creative and great service.
