I love Nostrana and will definitely be back—the food was amazing as always. However, this visit fell a bit short of the high standards I’ve come to expect. The temperature inside was uncomfortably warm, which made it difficult to fully enjoy the evening. Service was just okay this time; it felt a bit off compared to previous visits. Our server forgot our wine order, and we had to remind him, which was disappointing. Additionally, when someone in our party accidentally spilled a nearly full glass of wine, we were surprised that no one offered to replace it. In our experience, fine restaurants like Nostrana typically do. That said, I’m hoping this was just a rare off night. We’ll certainly return—ideally on a cooler day—and look forward to the exceptional experience we’re used to.

It was insufferably hot inside Nostrana on this evening. It was a warm day in July, high 80s. The temp inside the restaurant was warmer than outside. They said their air conditioning was going but you couldn’t tell. Using our menus as fans we suffered through a delicious meal pretending we were in an actual heatwave in Rome. We wouldn’t go back in summertime again.

Fantastic food! Everything was very innovatively prepared. But the restaurant was pretty warm inside on a hot summer day.

Girlfriend and I had a great anniversary here. The service was incredible. Whatever you’re paying Trevon (think that’s her name), it’s not enough. She did amazing. The drinks were some of the best I’ve had at a restaurant. You’re out of luck if you’re hungry, though. Reminds me of PCG with how little food they give you. Except I’m overseeing a parking lot instead of the entire city. 2 baby crab cakes for appetizer? I gotta pay for butter on my bread? Is it churned in the kitchen or something? Poor trend in Portland where restaurants think higher prices = better food. The nice plating was not worth $10-$20 up-charge.

I highly recommend Nostrana- everything from the cocktails to the appetizer to the entree were spot on. However, the real star was our server Zoe. She was fantastic, checking on us often and giving her recommendations. She even gave us suggestions on what to do in Portland. She is a true asset and when we visit Portland again, we will definitely be back.

Service was friendly but failed to tell us about the auto gratuity they add and my dad tipped his normal generous amount manually only to realize long after we left that was the case. Happy to reward good service but not everyone can read the fine print or afford to tip twice for the same meal. :/

We’ve been here several times and find it unfortunately overpriced for the quality of food. The service is always great and the ambience is good too if you like a noisy boisterous restaurant. Unfortunately, the food is not as good as it should be for the price,. We had to send the steak back and the gnocchi was just OK. Not as flavorful as it could’ve been.

Service was subpar and it was so hot in there we couldn’t enjoy the food. We felt like we were a nuisance and the staff was borderline rude. App arrived before drinks and we were practically scolded for asking for our drinks. Food was delivered without words, our child had asked for Parmesan cheese for their pasta which we never received. Wouldn’t got back.
