   The food was excellent however we waited a full 35 minutes after finishing our first course for the main course to be served. The server was very pleasant; however there was no explanation much less acknowledgment that something had gone wrong. I assume our order had been lost and that’s why I suppose it was so delayed.

   I used to really love this place. But the service was very poor- super slow and then we had multiple servers bring us random dishes and drinks that we hadn’t ordered. I know the restaurant business is tough but an automatic service charge of 22% really doesn’t give you a warm feeling about the place. I think maybe the most insulting thing was getting a tiny glass of wine with a little “150 ML” line on the glass. Really???! First of all you’re squeezing 5 glasses out of one bottle of wine and then you’re letting me know about it like it’s Applebee’s? Really bad decision

   Wonderful meal and excellent service. They did a lot to make my wife's birthday celebration very special. I highly recommend Nostrana.

   Did nothing for birthday, despite noting it at reservation time. The pizza was excellent. Do not bother ordering the steak — it was a complete waste of money.

   Nostrana never disappoints. Solid wines and cocktails. The menu provides many delicious options depending on your mood/cravings. The service is also always on point!

   Wondeful experience. Service was 5++++ Would sit outside next time Staff was having a fine time and making the evening lots of fun

   Nostrana has been a Portland staple for over a decade. I’ve heard about how good this place was for years and finally booked a reservation. Oh how disappointed I was. I’m not sure if this place is just phoning it in because they have such a good reputation but this was one of most mediocre meals I’ve had in Portland in a long while. The only exception was their cocktails were on point. We had 4 dishes and all for were fine but nothing special like a step above Cheesecake Factory but not at the level of current Portland culinary expectations.

   We went on a Thursday which is Gnocchi night, the gnocchi was pillowy soft and amazing! The bread was really delicious as was the olive oil it was served with. If the salad dressing for the radicchio salad was sold by itself I would buy it! The grilled beef was nothing special, and the sides would be a skip on future visits.

   Delicious as always. Celebrated a birthday at the Chef's Counter, the best seat in the house! Also took advantage of Wine Wednesday with 25% off bottles of wine. Great experience in every way.

    This was my second time dining here—the first visit was amazing! The food was unforgettable and the service was warm and attentive, so I was genuinely excited to return for my anniversary. The food this time? Still incredible -- authentic Italian that truly transported us straight to Italy! But sadly, the service didn’t live up to our first experience. It felt unwelcoming, which was disappointing, especially for a special occasion. What made it more frustrating was the automatic 22% gratuity added to the bill. While I understand the policy, that level of tip should come with service that creates a good experience.
