An incredible menu of which does no justice to the live jazz and ambiance of this gem. This is a live jazz club first and foremost so don’t go if you’re thinking of avoiding the music. It will reel you in and once locked, it’s time to get loaded with an expertly crafted menu featuring brilliant cocktails and offerings as well as an exhaustive list of fine wines. It’s a place unlike any other and truly a date night to behold.
Love the food and the environment, cocktails aren't my favorite.
Couldn't have chosen a better place for a birthday night cap!
Way overpriced drinks and food for the value, music was decent, ambience was good.
Amazing food and wine selection. The live music adds to the charm.
This was our second time at Nocture and we've enjoyed both experiences immensely. The atmosphere is completely immersive, and it's easy to quickly forget time and place as you listen to great jazz and soak the whole thing in. The music is outstanding, the drinks (especially those hand-crafted at the bar) are delicious, and the service is absolutely terrific - both times we were there the staff, across the board, was brilliant.
Nocturne is the premier Jazz club in Denver. Great wine list and cocktails. Eclectic and tasty menu.
Fun,great food, ambiance, area & entertainment!
Entertaining a family member who was visiting from SF, he was impressed! Great food, fun evening!
We came to the late show. We were disappointed that there were only 2 musicians. The desserts we had were beignets and the chocolate chip cookie-both epic fails! The waitress was a tad disconnected. The place was charming but the atmosphere and music vibe was disjointed so we left early.
Amazing service! They gave me a free toast of sparkling wine and dessert for my birthday! Will definitely be back soon.
The service was great, the food was yummy, and the Jazz was tasty.
Honestly, we received the best service we have in a looooooooong time in Denver. Very attentive and knowledgeable. So refreshing.
I thoroughly enjoyed my visit. We were celebrating our 12th anniversary and are big fans of live music. The music was fantastic and was engaging with the customers. The food was very diverse. Although it was good I would recommend choosing one or two styles of food to make your stand. Makes it easier to market.
The service was friendly and prompt. The music was great and even though it was loud the staff did a great job with communication. The drinks were delicious and unique just like the food. A little pricey but I definitely think it’s worth it!
Natalie was incredible! Made our one year anniversary unforgettable!
We had a great time :) Would recommend to others. The cheese plate is pretty good.
Absolutely recommend Nocturne to anyone who loves food, jazz, and booze.
This is the best place I’ve ever done life! The food, music, and service made me feel like royalty. I traveled back to Denver just to go there and it’s now a trip I’ll be making often! Thank you guys for a wonderful experience!
wonderful music and food. Celebrated our Anniversary and we were treated like VIP's. Great place for any occassion
Allie was our server and she was definitely spot on ... great service!!!
An intimate, brick-walled jazz club in RiNo with an excellent drinks menu (I tried the Madeira flight- very fun.). The night we went the musicians were entertaining but not virtuosic. The emphasis is on creating an enjoyable evening rather than pushing musical boundaries. Cheeseboard and dessert were also good. Between the cover charge, food, and drinks, it gets spendy- so this is a special occasion spot for us, but I would definitely go back.
I recommend checking out their website before you go for the first time. They have a lot of useful information that will help you know what to expect.
One of the best dining experiences I have had in the Denver area. Looking forward to going back again and again.
We adore Nocturne, and go as often as we can. It’s like a 1940s Supper Club. Great drinks, knowledgeable bartenders; fabulous food, creative chefs; the music is always enjoyable. It’s pretty and exactly the way we prefer to spend an evening out.
We went to Nocturne for my husbands birthday, it did not disappoint! Great atmosphere, music, food and drinks! The service was wonderful! We will be back!
What a great venue, awesome food and incredible jazz performances. The ambience is incredible-highly recommend!
First time at Nocturne, we were welcomed and greeted warmly. The room is decorated nicely, it seems to work well with the small stage for performers. Food was okay, not great, significantly over-priced. The musicians were performing music by Prince. They were okay, not great.
iA rare treat.
Great food. The chefs tasting menu was fantastic, unique and a great value. Detailed service standards customized to our name. No auctioning off food here.
Music was outstanding!
An intimate and elegant jazz and dining experience. The food was fresh and creative. I highly recommend the lobster gnocchi and the Mexican firing squad! The music was flawless, and every table has a great view of the band.
Great place for Birthdays and great music! Great for jazz lovers looking for a nice night out for drinks and dinner.
We did the 5-course tasting menu. 2 courses were fine but the other 3 were poorly conceived and/or poorly executed. The main course was extremely unpleasant and I had them take mine away. Then we tried to salvage the evening with a glass of port wine and they billed each of us the full bottle price. We waited some time while they tried to correct that mistake before they finally let us go telling us they would not post any credit card charges. Now we are waiting to see if the pending credit card charges--still way over-billed--are going to go away. What a shame. They were such nice people.
The staff at nocturne went above and beyond for our special request. Can’t say enough nice things about this place.
Really had a enjoyable birthday celebration for my wife. Everything was excellent.
Food, music and ambiance were all great. Reminded us of old time jazz clubs.
This place is amazing! I surprised my boyfriend with reservations for his birthday. This was our second time at Nocturne and I requested the same seats we had before by messaging before the date and they sat us right where I wanted!! The staff was incredibly friendly, including the owner who was working just as hard as the staff. Each staff member that came to our table wished my boyfriend a happy birthday and they gave us complimentary toasts and dessert. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a special occasion or a date night! The music has always been entertaining and the environment is very fun and relaxing.
A suggestion: Place a note on each table requesting that people limit their conversation while the musicians are performing. There was too much loud talking during the performance. And the musical group was amazing and deserved our full attention. It creates an atmosphere of disrespect when people are talking loudly during the show.
This was a really awesome jazz club! I had never been to one before and it was truly and experience. I look forward to coming back.
Went for the music, enjoyed the food. Looking forward to our next visit.
Nocturne is a fantastic venue for live jazz music while you dine. You may even have an opportunity to catch one of the greats like my wife and I found on this night. As for just rating the restaurant though there are a few quirks.
Space- very limited. If you're lucky enough to get a table, you won't mind this so much. However, if you are seated on the "bench" you will be shoe horned in among other couples having a 14 inch stone oval in front of you to complete your dining experience. You will be cramped, while eating, find it awkward to reach for food, can't eat over your plate, and will always be worried about someone knocking everything to floor.
The menu- 1st, it changes regularly and provides the house chef an opportunity to create food based on an artists playlist. 2nd, you will never know where your are in the menu and what it is you are ordering. The menu is eclectic, uses odd names for even the simplest of offerings and complicates everything. Looking for dessert? Good luck. Its listed in two completely different spots, but one offering isn't allowed unless you choose the special musician menu, which nothing tells you your limitations up front. The dual menu makes you uncomfortable from the start as you try to piecemeal your dinner together, again not really having a clue what will be put in front of you after the fact. Your server will be able to speak to everything on the menu but don't expect that to help you at all.
The food- having been there a few times, I can say this is hit and miss. I fully admit that any misses could be my own inability to understand the menu. My first experience allowed me to enjoy everything on a micro level. My most recent experience found me desiring much st every turn... the food is high quality, the flavor profiles are complex. For you, this really will be an item by item decision.
If you don't drink, the water is room temp, and the soda is watered down.
Still, a great jazz venue.
becoming a favorite spot for good jazz using both local artists and nationally known artists. Food is a bit exotic for my tastes.
