Lexington Restaurants

Home to Washington and Lee University as well as Virginia Military Institute, this small college town boasts a variety of restaurants and has a pretty big brunch culture. This area is becoming a major part of the food "counter culture" with many restaurants using locally produced ingredients and offering farm-to-table menus. Highlights of the Lexington food scene include traditional Southern favorites like shrimp and grits, cheese grits, and locally caught catfish and trout over seasonal veggies. This part of Virginia is also farm country, and you'll be hard pressed to find fresher meats or vegetables than those found in Lexington's restaurants.
