I don't live close, so for me Claire's is a great place for a special occasion. - JJasonVirginia •4 reviews5.0Dined 6 days agoDinner for Four (two couples) at the Tavern! 5-stars thanks to a prefect meal presented to us by Patrick. Due to the price of the "5 course" Game and Seafood dinner I was fully expecting to be underwhelmed. However, a few things came together to make it worthy of 5 starts. First we were seated in an a more intimate room. At first we thought the fireplace room might be more desirable but they were loud (children etc). Second and most importantly, our server, Patrick knocked it out of the park. Conversation, pacing, attentiveness, delivery...everything. And yes, the Chef also prepared everything to perfection. Venison, short ribs, lobster...etc. While we won't be back...we were very pleased to have dined here.More infoThe Red Fox Inn & TavernPrice: Very Expensive• Contemporary American• Middleburg•4.6
- PPearsonWashington, D.C. Area •2 reviews5.0Dined on Dec 5, 2024Food and service were good. Great burger and fries. Price is OK. Problem is this place is always deserted. Airlie resort and it’s amenities like Harry’s are so under marketed and I’m afraid it’s not going to survive. You’ve got to spend money to make money, and they simply do not invest in marketing this gem in our community. Sadly, the grounds are deteriorating and it appears they don’t have the funds to maintain the property appropriately. Walkways are crumbling, lighting is broken and insufficient. I hope they give this property some TLC and revive it.More infoHarry'sPrice: Moderate• Farm-to-table• Warrenton•4.1
- JJohnvipBaltimore / Maryland •6 reviews5.0Dined on Dec 4, 2024So I spent the last year and a half after I sold my house traveling the world and eating from Portugal, Costa Rica to Bali. And the dinner I had had Harriman’s last night was just absolutely wonderful. Our server, Terry, was knowledgeable and fun and laughed with us. Quite frankly my partner was pretty inventive on some of the things that she wanted extra. Extra peanuts on the broccoli, extra sauce on the duck, or the pasta, peppermint teas to go, dessert by the fireplace and Salamander, the hotel in which the Harriman’s resides, just rolled with it all. And it was my birthday and a birthday cake was very special, and they accidentally misunderstood that we wanted our leftovers. So they got rid of our leftovers, they realized it and basically gave us “leftovers“ that were brand new dishes. That was the octopus and, the brussels sprouts. The brussels sprouts were beyond amazing. The best I’ve ever eaten. The duck was excellent Compliments to our server Terry, compliments to Ken, a young man with whom the conversation is fulfilling, …He has worked in some of the best places and he’s only 25. Just go and talk to him it’s fun. And filing to our Sanchit. Another young man, a beautiful soul that works here and another person’s wonderful to be around. Like I said it was a special night.More infoHarrimans GrillPrice: Expensive• Contemporary American• Middleburg•4.6
