Tops Diner
Price: Moderate•American•4.8(2,046)Ever since Tops Diner was established in 1942, our focus has always been to serve what our customers want, exactly when and how they want it. As the American dining culture shifts, we recognize we must strive to recreate the 1920’s renaissance that birthed the diner as we know it today, all the while preserving the historical and cultural identity that made Tops Diner the model all others hope to emulate.
By constantly evolving, we ensure our ability to provide a diverse menu of high quality options with the speed of service we’ve all become accustomed to, providing the uniquely satisfying experience synonymous with the Tops Diner name. Our hope is that we can grow as our clients do, and continue to serve both our Newark family, and our community at large.Spanish Tavern - Newark
Price: Expensive•Spanish•4.7(318)Spain, one of the world’s greatest gastronomic destinations, can be tasted in The Spanish Tavern, an upscale restaurant created by Spanish immigrants focused on the art of living graciously. Through our fine wines, unforgettable dishes and the professional treatment of our team, we are proud to introduce the most celebrated Spanish flavors to New Jersey since 1932.
Mompou Tapas Bar - Newark
Price: Moderate•Tapas / Small Plates•4.6(206)Inspired by the creative and energetic essence of the tapas culture of Spain, Mompou endeavors to introduce our guests to the beauty of our vibrant homeland through a combination of modern interpretations of traditional Spanish cuisine, innovative cocktails, and small vintner wine selections. This is complemented by our focus on extraordinary service and our guest’s overall experience.
Mompou: redefining the Ironbound experience since 2005.Adega Grill
Price: Expensive•Portuguese•4.5(1,203)From the moment you enter, tones of old world yellows, stone fireplaces, wrought iron cellar gates and sconces, soft candlelight, coves with upholstered sofa seating and friendly staff, it's an undeniable inviting space, nothing short of extraordinary. Two special occasion tables with antique throne chairs and live piano music add to the intimacy. Two romantic dining rooms cater to an elegant crowd, while the long narrow bar gathers a friendly and fun bunch nightly.
The cuisine truly upholds the name of Fine Portuguese/Spanish Dining, seafood and fish, organic meats, the freshest ingredients and to maintain the tradition, huge portions are to be expected. The menu is seasonal and in addition to a varied selection of delectable dishes to satisfy any palette, daily specials are always featured. The wine list with over 180 selections is an ambitious one that keeps growing, but sure not to disappoint the discriminating connoisseur.
Casa de Paco
Price: Moderate•Tapas / Small Plates•4.5(390)Tapas bar that truly exemplifies Spanish culture. Weekly updated menus with only the freshest of ingredients paired with exquisite Spanish wines, craft beers and delicious sangrias.

- AAmberVIPNew York City •1 review4.0Dined 4 days agoThis was our first time at the restaurant my best friend and I attended and the hostess was very personable and friendly, which made for a great first impression. We had a reservation and inquired about sitting on the rooftop, but were surprised to learn there was a $20 charge, even though we already had a reservation and spent nearly $150 on dinner. I would suggest reconsidering that policy, as it can be off-putting to guests. That said, the ambiance, food, and drinks were all very good. The music was extremely loud at first, but they did turn it down after we asked. Overall, we enjoyed the experience and would definitely go again.More infoThe Vault Lounge & RestaurantPrice: Moderate• African• Newark•3.6

- SSivanNew York City •9 reviews4.0Dined 5 days agoVery great experience. The service was wonderful. Everyone who worked there and came to our table was polite and friendly. The food was very good! The hot honey wings were delicious. If you’re going to see something at NJPAC this is the perfect place to eat. You can walk right into the theatre from the restaurant and our waiter made sure our food was ready before the show with plenty of time to eat.More infoNICO Kitchen + BarPrice: Expensive• Contemporary American• Newark•4.4
