Best Restaurants with a Scenic View in Newark

Only issue is that there reservation not honoring at booked on open table. They didn’t manage properly with our reservation..

Their systems were down so they had no idea we had a reservation. They offered high top but we have someone on a cane so no good. They said had no room but then they went out of their way to find something. So you and the restaurant can’t coordinate?

Catch is quickly becoming one of my fav spots in the city. Great food, excellent service, and such a chill vibe. Check it out for a good date night or celebratory dinner with friends!

The ambience and location was beautiful. We went on Fathers Day and it was cloudy and raining so not much of a view of the skyline but from what we could see it was amazing. Something I wasn’t aware of when making the reservation was that it was a buffet for Fathers Day, when I looked online it didn’t mention anything about it so that would have been nice to know in advance for planning. Other than that the food was great, no complaints, my favorite was the salmon. The server we had could have been a bit more attentive, I know he had other tables but my mom asked for more water and he never brought it and instead brought the check. Overall, it was a good experience would definitely try it again to try items on their menus.

My wife & I chose Maddy Rose to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary and we were not disappointed. We went to Maddy Rose on June 14,2025 - 50 years to the day of our wedding. The ambiance was fantastic. Kattie was our server & she was great. Sher went out of her way to make it a special night. "Happy 50th Anniversary" was printed on our menu! When we asked Katie to take our photo by the window, she told us to go outside where she took the photo with the NY skyline in the background. I highly recommend Maddy Rose but caution anyone considering going there to make a reservation. As you would suspect, the place is filled so the reservation is a must.
