Shillington Restaurants

One of the nicest meals out we have had in a long time. Food was absolutely delicious with perfect portion sizes. Staff were lovely, very attentive without being intrusive. Thoroughly recommend and we will definitely be going back.

We were a party of 5 all of whom had a roast dinner. Good choice and expansive children’s menu. The portion sizes were good. Vegetables fresh. Large crispy Yorkshire puddings. Tender meat. Roast potatoes and parsnips could have been a little more crispy and everything was only lukewarm on arrival at the table. Service was good and waiting time reasonable. Atmosphere pleasant but all seats stained and needing covering. Everything else was clean. Cost £105 for one course and a drink for 4 adults and a child.

From the greeting to the food, everything was perfect. Super pleasant, left alone to enjoy our meal but attentive enough to let us know we could order more or request sauces etc. Colleagues, without prompting, recognised the music was a tad too loud and adjusted the volume immediately. Always such a great vibe at the Hermitage, the entire team is awesome.

Friday night dinner, I had the venison pie which was fabulous, so tasty Followed by pumpkin cake pudding which was also absolutely lovely.
