Guildford Restaurants

The ambience and decor of restaurant is amazing. We choose to go with the premium tasting menu which was simply fantastic, with lots of beautiful presented dishes with a selection of incredible flavours combined with lots of theatre when they arrived at the table. All of the staff were very attentive & ensured our experience was memorable for my partners big birthday celebration, even bringing a small additional birthday dessert to the table. Ivy Asia lived up to our expectations & we will certainly be visiting again.

The food was good. In particular the sticky toffee pudding and chicken skewers. However, the service was poor considering you pay for the service. We had to ask to order drinks. When the bottle arrived he simply poured and didn't offer to taste. I've been in restaurants without service charge that offer for you to taste! My friends wine glass was empty for a while without a top up. I'd have done it for her but the bottle is always taken away for the waiter to do it for you. We had to ask for another bottle of wine by grabbing a passing waitress. We had to wait to order food too. They were very busy which meant there was a good atmosphere and the food was great but the service definitely not up to scratch. We were very much left to our own devices!

Really excellent food in a great atmosphere. My only minor comment would be that because of the big open front, the restaurant does get a little cold and I can imagine this might be a challenge in the coming months. Overall though, we can't wait to come back - great food and great service! It's particularly nice that the small plates options give you the chance to try lots of menu items!

The customer service was 100%, met with a polite smile and taken to our table. Asked if we wanted some water while we looked at the drinks menu. The waiter service was excellent and as for the food … The best steak we have had in a very long while, couldn’t fault it. The food was of a high quality and cooked to perfection - Kudos. They even gave us a complimentary glass of wine for our anniversary. Will definitely be going back and telling friends.

I had such a lovely waitress- made us feel at home. Couldn’t catch her name, but she had us both laughing and really helped us choose lovely cocktails. She had dark hair and she was just so lovely. The restaurant was quiet; we had somewhere private for our date night to eat and we felt at home and really relaxed. We’ve only ate at Bill’s twice ; and every experience has been amazing and I can’t wait to be back to try something different! We were so satisfied with our meal, food was cooked to perfection, quick service; we felt we didn’t wait long for our food - highly recommend this restaurant to family and friends.
