As always absolutely delicious food and so many gluten free options 😊 The rack of ribs and the lamb shank curry were both so tender they fell off the bones. The best chunky chips and skin on fries! The Rioja is so smooth. Service exceptional. Thank you for another wonderful evening.

This is the first tike we have been since it was taken over, but the standard is just as good as it always has been. The meat melted in your mouth and there were more than enough choice of veg. We weren't rushed, the room was warm, sometimes before we have been and the room has been chilly! You really do get value for money.

Our first visit to No 23 and definitely not the last! The service, welcome and atmosphere were great. A carafe of tap water was brought to the table without us asking, cutlery was changed between starter and main course, often they're not, these days and all in a very timely , professional and pleasant manner. The food was amazing! We chose the manchego croquettes ( which we could have just eaten more of!) and olives ( looked quite plain but definitely had a kick to them and were gorgeous)to start with, then we chose the halibut and beef shin ragu, fabulous! Thankyou.

We were a party of 8 for lunch, and we had a super time. After the friendly welcome, the delicious lunch was served efficiently and cheerfully by the waitress and proprietor. We have all been several times before, and the welcome, cuisine and ambience are always outstanding. We will be back!
