Mr. B's Pub consistently ranks as one of golf's best 19th holes. It's a perfect blend between locals and hotel guests. Located just off the lobby, this watering hole is a local favorite and a must-see for all who visit the Sandhills region of North Carolina. The memorabilia alone in the bar and lobby are worth a stop-in! And of course, the fireplace chipping board is something everyone should experience - a Pine Crest Inn tradition. We had an A+ meal at EOLs during a few day visit to the Pinehurst area. We loved the ambiance in the Rooster Bar and our host, the bartender, Zach. We had the Short Rib Risotto that came with a healthy portion of delicious pesto as a shared appetizer. Then we split a huge portion of Pork Schnitzel that came on a bed of the best barely sweet creamed corn you will ever have. The corn still had an appealing snap and the entire dish paired well sides of scallion mashed potatoes (which could have been hotter) and delicious asparagus. Drinks wise, my hubby has an extra dry martini that was extremely generous and I had a pink sparkling wine that was delicious and lightened up the meal. We did skip dessert only because we were stuffed but the sticky toffee pudding sounded divine. We'd absolutely recommend. There was a really neat private "room", seating 6 or 8 top next to the bar that looked like a chicken coop. Neat idea and can be reserved.

Discover Pinehurst

Pinehurst has been associated with golf for over a century, and the dining options are exactly what one might expect from a historically important and prestigious country club community in the Carolinas: Southern hospitality and rich, down-home cooking. Family-style banquet dinners featuring classics like fried chicken and gravy steak are a key part of the Pinehurst appetite, but you'll also find restaurants modeled after traditional clubhouses and stately English-style pubs. In Pinehurst, the ambiance is as important as the food itself. Many of the restaurants available occupy beautiful buildings that maintain a traditional antebellum style. Steakhouses in the Oak Room style are another popular option among both locals and visitors.
