- JJohnTampa / Central Florida West •1 review4.0Dined on Jul 8, 2025Our waitor was very good (Marc) and the food was pretty good. The chopped salad was very good, and the dressing made it perfect. We had the Orecchiette pasta and was very good but was served only warm and should have/could have been warmer. The restaurant is nice and it's good to go into the City of Pittsburgh to have a good meal and enjoy City life.More infoAlta Via - Market SquarePrice: Expensive• Italian• Downtown•4.6

Discover Whitehall
Whitehall is an adorable borough in Allegheny County that is home to a variety of delicious cafes, charming restaurants, and exciting bars. Cabbage rolls are popular with the locals and can be found at many of the Irish or American restaurants. Another food that the locals can’t seem to get enough of is veal, which is carried in the local restaurants. Halušky is a noodle dish that is made with fried cabbage that also happens to be common in the neighborhood and is available at some of the American restaurants. Another way to get a taste of the local cuisine is to try the area’s Italian sausage at one of the neighborhood’s Italian, American, or Mediterranean dining establishments, or you could try the local kielbasa and pierogies at one of the cozy contemporary American restaurants.
