Wish I could give more stars to Ritual House, this is my fourth time going there and said it’s my favorite restaurant in Pittsburgh. The service is excellent, the food is delicious and the whole vibe of the place is an experience. Last night we were celebrating as friends and had 3 birthdays amongst our party, the waiter brought out 3 complimentary desserts which are a spectacle with cotton candy and sparkler type candles. Reservations are a must here but I’ve had no problem getting time and dates needed when booking. The deviled eggs are a favorite appetizer and last night tried the parrotfish special which I’ve never eaten and it was incredible. And favorite cocktail is Strawberry Fields Forever but there’s many on their list that are tasty. Whether celebrating something or not this is the place to go!

We were seated upstairs and a family came after with a loud baby. We asked to be moved anywhere that was quiet and they reseated us on the first level. A tough start turned in to a great evening. Service was top notch and food and drinks were outstanding. We had the blue crab appetizer and I had the black cod with scallop. My wife had the vegan dish of mushrooms and sundried tomatoes which was less expensive but outstanding. I don’t understand people bringing loud children to a restaurant like this with no regard for others but Altius did everything to make it right.

My wife and I met my out of town niece early at the restaurant and may have been the first ones sat for dinner by the river, which is the placement that I requested, Our waiter Herbert gave a little of his personal background and that of the restaurant which was very interesting to my niece and her friend. He also made menu and drink suggestions in a very agreeable manner. We all opted for the prix fixe menu and all of us enjoyed our starter, entree, and dessert greatly. Of great interest was the Charley Chowder which was excellent. My niece and her friend greatly enjoyed the ambience and it is a place I would take anyone from out of town.

Three of us had dinner at Monterey Bay Fish Grotto last night. We were celebrating a birthday. The food and service were outstanding. Our server Jonathan could not have been nicer. He was very pleasant and attentive. One of the managers came over multiple times to check on the service and quality of our meals. We will certainly return.
