We have been here several times in the past 6 months. Originally discovered it because U bought a Groupon. We keep coming back because the food is exceptional the servers are personable and all in all it is a wonderful experience. Who needs Federal Hill when there is Tavolo in Smithfield. (Confession we have eaten at Tavolo on Federal Hill which is excellent but I prefer Smithfield) More

Discover Smithfield

Smithfield, Rhode Island, is a community just south of Boston that offers excellent eating choices for visitors and locals alike. The area has several traditional Italian restaurants, an assortment of pubs and delis, and great seafood restaurants. Other foods, such as Greek and Mediterranean cuisine, can be found here as well. In addition, there are also authentic Vietnamese and Chinese restaurants along with Mexican restaurants in the area, so you can easily get a bowl of pho, a plate of fried rice, or a couple of tacos depending on your mood. Many restaurants offer cups of chowder, which New England is known for. Those with a sweet tooth should try a crepe from a local creperie.
