The calamari was excellent and the stuffed chicken and pork chop are excellent choices. My husband's key lime pie was very good but my chocolate cake was a bit dry. We went on a Tuesday night and it was very quiet. We had excellent service and would definitely eat here again, I'm sure its really nice on the patio in warmer weather!
Good options for vegetarians. Same for all, actually; variety well prepared and nice atmosphere (sets it apart).
The food and service were both outstanding. I think mine may have been the best hamburger I have ever had.
Carmaker is the best of waitresses. The food is excellent. It is our favorite place to eat.
Great food, owners, service and ambiance.
I was not aware that it was Restaurant Week, so the only choice we had was a fixed price meal for $45. It was very crowded, and it reminded me of eating at a restaurant for Thanksgiving - the waiters were running around like crazy trying to serve everyone. First I had a ceasar salad. I asked for it with dressing on the side. It was covered with nice pieces of parmesan cheese. The waiter took it and brought another. The new one he brought was just a bunch of broken up lettuce on the plate - no cheese - and no other ingredients.
For the main course, I had the chicken which was in some kind of sauce that tasted strongly of vinegar. The polenta that it came on was the best part! My husband had veal which he said was "meh". Desert was another disappointment. We had Tres Leches cake. It was super dry with what tasted like whip cream for the topping. I can get a better Tres Leches at the supermarket. $150 later, we left, totally unsatisfied. For that price, the food should have been amazing.
Experience during restaurant week was great. Delicious food, great service, attentive but not intrusive. Nice atmosphere, not too noisy. Will go there again for sure.
We entertained out of state guests (San Antonio, Texas) who commented positively on the overall experience which was very good. We use Midtown Bistro for special events (birthdays, anniversaries, etc) because while it is a good value for Sfe, it is a little pricey for our budget.
Delightful selection of choices considering it was Restaurant Week. Everything was delicious!!
We had forgotten it was Restaurant Week in Santa Fe when we made the reservation. The dining room was pretty full but the quality of the food and the service did not suffer. One reason we like MidTown Bistro is the noise level is low so conversation is easy.
Midtown never disappoints. Lovely atmosphere. Not too noisy. Excellent food and service.
Outstanding food and service! I highly recommend them for lunch or dinner.
Good food, fast friendly service at lunch, well priced. Highly recommend.
A great place to go for Sunday Brunch! A very attentive staff.
Dined here many times for lunch. First time here for dinner. Excellent food. Very good waiter. Food service from kitchen was very slow, unlike timely lunch service.
A long wait just to be seated, definitely understaffed for Valentine’s Day evening. Long waits for food and even basic table service. Staff seemed overwhelmed, but trying. When my 50.00 entree of sea bass was served, the entire meal was cold.
My husband had chicken and it was the best he ever had. So tender. I had sea bass. I thought it would be a bit tastier and not hot for the price. We went on Valentine’s Day and was not aware of the fixed menu and they would not accommodate a basic pasta dish for my 9 year old so we had to send $32 on a fancy pasta dish.
Overall would go back. Main entree dishes are well prepared. Salads seem to be a bit skimpy for the price and simple.
Midtown Bistro has always been a consistent favorite of ours. Valentine's Day was a huge disappointment. There were several inaccurate communications from the restaurant I won't go into, service errors, and lackluster food. My husband's salad greens weren't fresh and the rib-eye steak was average if that. We did enjoy the lobster and I liked the mashed potatoes. We'll probably try again and blame this experience on a busy Valentine's Day
My meal was very good, my partner's bland. Were looking forward to a glass of wine but both felt $13 a glass was a bit much.
We Love going to Midtown Bistro because the food never disappoints and the staff is always friendly and accommodating to any special needs. It is one of our favorite places to go.
My husband and our friend enjoyed a delicious lunch and as usual everything was perfection! The half sandwich and soup (we added fries) was more than enough and priced well. We recommend the Chocolat layer cake which is amazing. The water fountains inside and out have been turned on and the relaxing sound made Spring weather seem not far away. Even the snow on them added to the setting.
My salmon and quinoa was excellent, I had the sauce placed on the side.
We enjoyed our meal here last week. The staff was friendly. The salmon dinner was excellent. The chocolate mousse was yummy. We were very pleased with the prompt service and attention. Everything was neat, clean and attractive. It was only about half full, so was not noisy. Might be more noisy when full?
The chef at midtown really knows how to cook a piece of fish or meat!!! Can’t say enough about how great the food is every time we eat here!
Enjoyed our birthday dinners together.
Both dinners, salmon and filet, were perfectly prepared. As was the calamari. Will be back soon.
Simply the best Cobb salad in the USA
Excellent as always
Great food and ambience. Service is good and noise level allows easy conversation.
we arrived just before that restaurant was to close. You would think the staff would not be happy to see us but on the contrary, they welcomed us warmly and seated us immediately. We had their lunch special which was delicious and really far above other peer restaurants. All in all, we absolutely loved the restaurant and will go back soon.
Wonderful birthday lunch and great service...thank you
The food is always very good and carefully seasoned...presented well and they have the very best staff in town.
It's a gem.
Food was good and service attentive, just right. Was a birthday lunch, and Midtown had just the right touches to celebrate.
We had a house guest from California who wanted appetizers. So we ordered four. They were out of the tuna, so we added a soup and salad. The soup and salad were superb. The calamari and taquitos were individually very good, but together may have been one too many fried foods.
I have an allergy to any pepper plants, even bell. While the waiter was very careful to convey my allergies to the kitchen, somewhere along the line, I didn't get the information that the sauce for the shrimp had peppers until I took a bite. Luckily it was not enough to trigger my allergy. But it did worry me for the rest of the evening.
Overall a fun adventure, good company and good food and except for one important slip, good service.
Lovely place to celebrate a birthday.
I always appreciate the urban feel, the white tablecloths and fresh flowers, and the extensively varied menu. Enjoy when you can take your time, because the quality service is not rushed.
Midtown Bistro is now one of my favorite places for Brunch in Santa Fe.
Midtown has an inviting comfortable ambiance. The service was efficient and
Professional. Our food was very tasty and was cooked to perfection.
We all agreed the price for the quality and quantity was very reasonable.
When we return to Santa Fe we will also return to Midtown Bistro.
Thank you for the ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Experience
Consistently great food and wonderful service.
My favorite place!!!
