Great food and service. Restaurant was overheated.
I chose Midtown Bistro to celebrate a good friend's birthday, as she had not been there before. We had a sweet table for the two of us, which greeted us with birthday confetti strewn over the table (I had indicated, on Open Table, that it was to be a birthday dinner). The table was beautifully set, complete, as always, with fresh flowers. Our waitress was super nice. We ordered appetizers, salads, main courses, and flutes of NM champagner. Everything was beautifully presented and delicious. The restaurant looked festive, and beautifully decorated. I will return often!
The best crabcakes and key lime pie! The waitress was remarkable in her attention to food allergies.
Great! Good food, service and ambience.
Excellent crab cakes. Very good salmon. Excellent squash bisque. Only complaint is that while the restaurant was not at all full, another table of diners was placed right next to ours, ruining our ability to be socially distant, that seemed wrong.
Very nice dinner. Will request table 30 in the future. Very cozy and quiet
Server was excellent!
Crab cakes were delicious!
Food was very good!
A most enjoyable evening.
We had a lovely evening with friends. The service was wonderful. It was quiet enough to have great conversation. The food was delicious and artful. Good wine list… Highly recommend.
Always enjoy dinner at Midtown Bistro. Consistently good and excellent service.
Lovely restaurant. Service okay. Food overpriced.
Our meal at Midtown Bistro was probably the best meal we had in 5 days in Santa Fe. The staff was wonderful and food was delicious. (We both had salads, hard to imagine that they were THAT good but they were)
We always enjoy Midtown-
Very efficient and prompt service. Food was great. The best chicken breast ever
Three of four meals were good. The crab cakes with spinach was dreadful. The spinach appeared to have been pulled from a bag and dumped on the plate. No care was made in presentation. The stems were left on making it entirely inedible. The crab cakes were tasteless and mushy. When the server was told to tell the chef the dish was unacceptable, we got only a nod.
I understand that this is a trying time for us all so will not write-off this restaurant entirely. But I will not hurry back .
Waited one hour for order, party of four, ordered half-rack of lamb, medium. I was served a full rack, rare, and whipped potatoes were barely warm. Finally got the waiter’s attention to correct the order. The order was finally returned as my guests were finishing theirs. All in over two hours. Won’t be back!
For my business I take many clients and staff here for a special dinner. The restaurant’s staff is always very attentive without being in your face every two minutes. They are there when you need it, knowledgeable and friendly. But like some of the restaurants they are not interrupting conversations with my guests every two minutes trying to fill your water glass. The food is amazing! Yes the prices are high but it’s all good quality food. We have ordered everything from fish plates to pasta to steak and enchiladas and it is all well presented and taste amazing. The wine list is great with a good variety of beers and cocktails. The space is wide open and plenty of seating outdoors. For some reason the noise level remains low even when it’s a packed house may be because it has high ceilings. I will return here over and over again for a good meal, great service and an easy-going feeling in a high-end restaurant.
This is my 3rd time to eat at this restaurant. I continue to go there because of the wonderful food and the lovely environment there. The service and presentation are a delight.
Fabulous, as always
Not the restaurant's best day. Our food came after a table near us, who had ordered after us, got their food. Not surprisingly, our food was lukewarm. Given the circumstances of this lunch, I did not send my food back but another time, I would have. Also the kitchen has changed the sauce that comes with the salmon--roasted red peppers are good but don't make as pleasing a sauce as what used to come with the dish.
I always have a wonderful experience at Midtown Bistro. Excellent, food, service and ambience. 5 stars. A+
We have never any thing but a great meal and service at this bistro.
Food and service was great. I sat on the patio and the noise level was much lower than inside.
Awesome experience. Lived up to all the wonderful reviews.
Good food and good wine go hand-in-hand for our crew, but not at Midtown. We tried 6 different wines by the glass, priced $12 to $16 - all were not good. To their credit, we were not charged for the glass of wine not consumed.
Food was 4-star. Service was acceptable. Ambience was good.
The food was high quality and perfectly prepared and the service was outstanding. The waitstaff was attentive and professional. Everyone in our party noted that the seating was extraordinarily comfortable. Five stars all around.
My rack of lamb was overcooked. The presentation sub-par (a mound of Luke warm mashed potatoes with a leaf or two of kale? spinach? draped across the top. An unappealing sight.
The food was excellent as was the service, however, it took a very long time to get our entre. The server was very solicitous and gave us an additional appetizer while we waited. Was not quite up to its usual standard.
Hope that will change with increased level of staffing.
The food was delicious. Our group had a good sampling of the menu and everyone was pleased with their choices.
Great service! Great food!
For the first time, our entrees took about 30 minutes to come out...and everyone had basically left the restaurant by the time we got our food. We almost asked for reimbursement the food was so late.
We have eaten here many times end it is always wonderful! Service is good food is delicious there’s plenty of parking.
Food was great and ambience fine. Hard to find but worth it. Would have given higher rating is the waiter had not dished a snippy comment about how busy he was when we asked for the check
I had the fish and chips. The coating on the fish was crunchy, but totally lacked seasoning of any kind. The fish itself was very bland as well. The fries were fine and the slaw was pretty but under-seasoned. The dish desperately needed fresh onion. My friend had the crab cakes as an entree. I was surprised the portion was the same as the appetizer. It was not enough for a meal. We had an excellent red wine and sat on the patio, which was very nice. I will give the Bistro another chance.
We often invite visitor to Midtown Bistro. It is always a hit with friends. This last time, our cousins, my husband and I enjoyed lunch on the patio. The restaurant and staff practice good covid-safe protocol. The food was delicious, service stellar, and the water fountains and Fall trees beautiful.
This was our first visit here. We were seated and and it took about 10 minutes until the waiter came over. The restaurant was pretty empty. We got our drinks and ordered promptly. It took 45 minutes for us to get our food! The waiter offered no explanation- I even had to ask for more water. The food was good when it finally arrived. The indifferent waiter and the very slow service were the rather big down sides.
great tuna tartar; calamari; good choice of entrees
It's a lovely venue on the patio. My soup was flavorless. The salad was only greens and the chicken sandwich was just ok. I should have complained but didn't.
Another enjoyable evening at Midtown Bistro. We couldn’t resist ordering the pasta special with lobster and it didn’t disappoint! One at our table ordered the ribeye steak that was excellent! The portions are large and the staff is attentive. Definitely a place on our radar!
We really liked our meals and appreciated the wait staff,
Midtown Bistro never disappoints! Food is always delicious and changes seasonally. Good wines and the owner and his staff work hard to make every experience first rate!
