The Midtown Bistro has become our go-to place for Sunday lunch/brunch. We can choose between both menus! We are rare--we like to eat indoors on these hot afternoons. They accommodate us, when possible, while observing social distancing. The service is always outstanding and personalized. The food consistently good; the soups outstanding. The ambiance, quiet with soft jazz playing. We 48-50 weeks per year.
Terrific all around. Can recommend Crabcake lunch, and the key lime pie! Great service from Philippe.
The prices seemed to be more expensive than the last time w were there....
Great service, perfect ambiance. Salads offered at lunch not so good. Boring and tasteless.
Excelente experiencia, muy buena comida y muy bonito patio
Where to eat during a pandemic besides home? Midtown Bistro. They're careful, they're pleasant, they're respectful, and the food is delicious. I had never been here for brunch, and I had never eaten outside. This time I did both. What a treat!
It was so nice to have a patio lunch with friends. The food and ambiance are great.
Great place in an unlikely location. Sat outside on a gorgeous night. Attentive service.
Great menu, great service, delicious food. Lovely setting on the patio.
Very good food and service. One of our favorite restaurants.
Love the expanded garden.
Everything done very well.
Would have been happier if staff wore gloves.
Poor service. Food took over 90 minutes to arrive. Overpriced.
Food very good as always. Service people competent, friendly and knowledgeable. Problem with slowness. Don’t know if there were enough staff for service or very slow kitchen but the wait after seated was too long
Fantastic, as always!
The food is a bit hit or miss, depending on what you order. The steak and cheese enchiladas were the best entree. It was absolutely delicious. The tiger prawn appetizer was missing something. The corn soup was very good. The steak was pretty good but not great.
Loved being able to eat outside for our first restaurant meal in months. The service was just as attentive and the food was just as delicious as always. The staff seemed genuinely happy to be working again.
Wonderful time at Midtown Bistro after the lockdown. We felt very safe.
Excellent service. Good food, environmentally safe. It felt 'normal' eating in a restaurant again. Midtown Bistro my first choice; didn't disappoint!
This lovely restaurant is excellent. The staff excellent, the food excellent, the atmosphere lovely.
This is a very attractive setting, and the garden has special appeal. I have been there twice
in one week, and the chef is extraordinarily talented.
I couldn’t have picked a more delicious spot to have lunch with my family. Everything was excellent as always!
The calamari was excellent and the stuffed chicken and pork chop are excellent choices. My husband's key lime pie was very good but my chocolate cake was a bit dry. We went on a Tuesday night and it was very quiet. We had excellent service and would definitely eat here again, I'm sure its really nice on the patio in warmer weather!
Good options for vegetarians. Same for all, actually; variety well prepared and nice atmosphere (sets it apart).
The food and service were both outstanding. I think mine may have been the best hamburger I have ever had.
Carmaker is the best of waitresses. The food is excellent. It is our favorite place to eat.
Great food, owners, service and ambiance.
I was not aware that it was Restaurant Week, so the only choice we had was a fixed price meal for $45. It was very crowded, and it reminded me of eating at a restaurant for Thanksgiving - the waiters were running around like crazy trying to serve everyone. First I had a ceasar salad. I asked for it with dressing on the side. It was covered with nice pieces of parmesan cheese. The waiter took it and brought another. The new one he brought was just a bunch of broken up lettuce on the plate - no cheese - and no other ingredients.
For the main course, I had the chicken which was in some kind of sauce that tasted strongly of vinegar. The polenta that it came on was the best part! My husband had veal which he said was "meh". Desert was another disappointment. We had Tres Leches cake. It was super dry with what tasted like whip cream for the topping. I can get a better Tres Leches at the supermarket. $150 later, we left, totally unsatisfied. For that price, the food should have been amazing.
Experience during restaurant week was great. Delicious food, great service, attentive but not intrusive. Nice atmosphere, not too noisy. Will go there again for sure.
We entertained out of state guests (San Antonio, Texas) who commented positively on the overall experience which was very good. We use Midtown Bistro for special events (birthdays, anniversaries, etc) because while it is a good value for Sfe, it is a little pricey for our budget.
Delightful selection of choices considering it was Restaurant Week. Everything was delicious!!
We had forgotten it was Restaurant Week in Santa Fe when we made the reservation. The dining room was pretty full but the quality of the food and the service did not suffer. One reason we like MidTown Bistro is the noise level is low so conversation is easy.
Midtown never disappoints. Lovely atmosphere. Not too noisy. Excellent food and service.
Outstanding food and service! I highly recommend them for lunch or dinner.
Good food, fast friendly service at lunch, well priced. Highly recommend.
A great place to go for Sunday Brunch! A very attentive staff.
Dined here many times for lunch. First time here for dinner. Excellent food. Very good waiter. Food service from kitchen was very slow, unlike timely lunch service.
A long wait just to be seated, definitely understaffed for Valentine’s Day evening. Long waits for food and even basic table service. Staff seemed overwhelmed, but trying. When my 50.00 entree of sea bass was served, the entire meal was cold.
My husband had chicken and it was the best he ever had. So tender. I had sea bass. I thought it would be a bit tastier and not hot for the price. We went on Valentine’s Day and was not aware of the fixed menu and they would not accommodate a basic pasta dish for my 9 year old so we had to send $32 on a fancy pasta dish.
Overall would go back. Main entree dishes are well prepared. Salads seem to be a bit skimpy for the price and simple.
Midtown Bistro has always been a consistent favorite of ours. Valentine's Day was a huge disappointment. There were several inaccurate communications from the restaurant I won't go into, service errors, and lackluster food. My husband's salad greens weren't fresh and the rib-eye steak was average if that. We did enjoy the lobster and I liked the mashed potatoes. We'll probably try again and blame this experience on a busy Valentine's Day
