Amazing! Fresh and fast. Can never go wrong here!
Best in town
The food and service was wonderful!! Delicious sushi. Tasted fresh!
This is an amazing location with decadent and delicious food!
If you aim to be full after a meal here— prepare to spend $100-150 per person. You can’t go wrong!
Omakase menu server brought us was considerably more expensive than the "menu" omakase menu. Great food and service.
Food was great, but the amount/size of portion for the money isnt even close to sushi den/Izakaya. For example, the yellowtail Jalapeno app was 6 small pieces, paper thin, and about half the amount of the equivalent at Izakaya, but almost 30 bucks, compared to 20 at Izakaya. that all adds up, and left hungry after a 200.00 bill
Food and service was great! The only thing I wish is that the rice was slightly warmer. But everything was very tasty!
The food was overall disappointing. The otoro sashimi was too wet almost slimy. The soba noodles seemed store-bought. The staff was so arrogant they forgot what they were trained to do, to provide service. I wish I can write something positive.
Amazing food! Amazing service! I highly recommend taking any spot available.
With the limited tables permitted during COVID-19 safety measures, the restaurant only allows a party 1.5 hours to have dinner. I understand the restaurant’s financial need for the time limit, but I would suggest that diners please keep this time limit in mind when ordering as the hour and a half goes by Very quickly.
We had reservations at 8. We were not seated till 8:20
We barely saw our waitress.
For what we ordered, it was definitely over-priced
Incredible food experience. We let our server take control and he did an amazing job - we followed his recommendations and we were not disappointed.
Great food, ordered a 5 course meal, but unfortunately I was still hungry.
The food was great, however I gave the waitress the ok to select dishes & take care of us. This was a business meal where we had a limit. When the bill came we were at almost $300/pp
I’ve done this several times and it’s always been manageable. Very frustrating
Sushi as is was meant to be! We always have a great culinary experience at Matsuhisa
One of the best meals we have had at Matsuhisa Denver. Such a relief after more than a year away. Soothing atmosphere, delicious. Service slower than usual - common in this almost post-pandemic world. If I had one nit to pick, it was that the sushi did not quite seem up to the usual standard - off by a hair. So enjoyable overall!
Great experience! Attentive service and the food was amazing. Wonderful selection on wine also.
Impeccably fresh sushi. The best I’ve had between the coasts. Service was a little ragged but probably as a result of COVID related cutbacks. But don’t miss eating here if you appreciate high quality sushi.
Main server was a bit short and not as helpful as I’d expect from such a place. Other servers were great.
I had dinner with my mom for a special occasion, and despite high expectations, I was blown away. The staff is both deeply knowledgeable and friendly. The decor was beautiful. The food was unprecedented. It could be that I’m still adjusting from COVID-fatigue, but it was really one of the best dining experiences I’ve ever had in Denver.
I wouldn’t normally do this, but I think this restaurant deserves it. Hands down this is some of the best food I’ve ever had. Our waiter asked us a few questions about the type of food we liked, and what our budget was. We told him and he started bringing out one amazing dish after another. Cocktails were unique and amazing too! Great place for a date!
We so enjoy dining at Matsuhisa Denver, the only restaurant we have felt safe to dine inside, everything is outstanding.
1st time eating there
Birthday dinner - very wonderful
Expensive but worth every penny. We got a customized menu based on taste and just let them bring whatever they thought we would like and it was absolutely amazing. Drinks were great as well!
AMAZING as always. Be back soon!
Such great food!!! Loved this place
We had a wonderful dinner at Matsuhisa, thanks in part to our server (Andi) who essentially picked our meal for us at our request. Everything she brought was a delight -- black cod, sea bass, sushi, to name a few. Everyone was polite and helpful. Highly recommend!
Always amazing food and service. It is a vast menu and hard to decide on what to eat. Many things have different options flavor wise especially if someone might not like spicy you can get most things with a sauce that isn't spicy. My favorite items are the black cod lettuce wraps, black truffle sea bass, shaved ice, and lamb lollipops. But anything on the menu is AWESOME!!!
Best Japanese restaurant in Denver! Excellent cuisine, outstanding staff.
Food was delicious. Always love coming here. We understand that scheduling and timing is tough with Covid but felt very rushed at the end of our 90 minutes when we spent about $500.00. Again, understand the circumstances but no reason to be rushed out when spending that type of money. Probably won’t come back until things are back to normal.
The dining room is well spaced out to allow for social distancing, Our waiter was very attentive and the food was delivered promptly. There was never a time when we did not have food on the table. Be prepared to spend some money, but the experience is worthwhile.
Food was delicious and the service was great!
Shea and Mateo were aweso
We love ordering from our waiter and not off the menu.
Jordan made the perfect recommendations!
Not up to the Nobu standard. Go out of your way to go to Uchi- way more worth it
