Welcome to Janda Diner. We are anything but your average Malaysian restaurant.
Here, you can tuck into both classic Malaysian dishes and some fun, creative twists. Our Head Chef and owner, Ady Yacob, is the genius behind it all. With a Grand Diplôme from Cordon Bleu and a huge love for his home cuisine, Ady teamed up with his buddy Lanny to bring you a dining experience that’s truly one of a kind.
We are known for our signature dishes: amazing rich beef rendang, spicy moreish milk fried chicken and sumptuous grilled seabass.
In our first year we were honoured as a best in the city restaurant by Time Out London.
So, what’s with the name ‘Janda’? It means female divorcee in Malay. Some folks might wonder why we chose it, but us, it’s all about freedom and empowerment, not judgment. It’s about being proud of who you are and celebrating life. We really hope that passion shines through in our food and service!Hausu

We serve our own brand of flavours against the backdrop of a vintage hi-fidelity sound system, with the belief that music and food can bring people together.

Our menu features Albanian, Turkish, Greek, and Iranian dishes, all cooked simply over an open fire in a relaxed, comfortable setting. The menu changes daily, reflecting not just seasonality but bringing to London the freshest and most authentic taste of the Balkans possible. We cook over charcoal and source the freshest produce, fish and meat from the markets.

With a menu filled with seasonal specials, pub classics and Sunday roasts to knock your socks off, our dining room is a must-visit for foodies around Peckham and East Dulwich.
We take pride in our huge pub garden, which is available all year round thanks to our heaters and covers. During the summer we fire up our outdoor kitchen to serve up delicious BBQ flavours and our garden bar to ensure extra hydration.
At The Angel Oak, we have Sky sports for all your Premier League, Champions League, FA Cup, and Rugby needs making us the place to be for all those big moments. The atmosphere at the Euro’s and the World Cup at The Angel Oak is unmissable.

There really wasn’t a bad dish across everything we ate. Normally you’d need to head into town to get a meal that is so consistently good. Now my favourite place for sure.
