Now I am biased with my reviews as I have been visiting Branca for 21 years!! The quality of food remains outstanding as it always has done. The staff are fantastic the ambience is second to none and I will never stop going. The menu has great choices, the wine is superb and I just love everything about it. From deli counter to restaurant you will not be disappointed. This place is just heaven. ALSO I should mention it is really dog friendly and your dog is so so welcome with treats for them to enjoy. Don’t let this put you off if you don’t have a dog. You wouldn’t know there were any present as they are strategically seated and always well behaved. Well done Branca…yet again you are amazing!!

Manchester
About the restaurant
Dukes 92 was originally a stable block for the horses delivering foods off barges to the Merchants warehouse opposite. From these humble begininngs the building now houses Manchester's original bar and grill which has been refurbished and extended three times since its opening in 1991 the space today is informal and airy with the buildings heritage being reflected in a subtle blend of antique furniture and modern fixed seating.
With its most recent refurbishment Dukes can now properly call itself a venue with two bars, three private events spaces, a grill restaurant, excellent smoking facilities, canalside terrace and balcony overlooking the canal basin. Dukes continued appeal relies on its ability to transform from a relaxed, family friendly environment by day to a vibrant and stylish bar and grill by night.
The space has been extended and refurbished since its opening in 1991 and inside its interior combines contemporary features and its trademark antique furniture.

First time at Gather and certainly won’t be our last. Staff very welcoming and service was excellent. The views across the Solway are stunning and made for a lovely evening. The food was plentiful and extremely tasty with appropriate choices given my better half can be a fussy eater. We had 2 courses each, a drink each and it was under £55. We’ve paid lots more in other places where the food was nowhere near as good. This is a real gem of a place

What a wonderful spot to enjoy larger than small plates locally grown selections prepared excellently. You won’t want to stop trying everything on the menu. Our server, Kelvin, was so knowledgeable and a delightful conversationalist. We felt like we had been friends for a long time. And we so appreciated the host’s kindness in locating us at a more intimate table as we were celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary and my birthday. The champagne toast and lovely dessert was a special treat. Highly recommend this lively, but also comfortable restaurant for any size party for any occasion.

The Black Swan is one of our local pubs, but we haven’t been as a family recently. We booked a table for Fathers Day at lunchtime. The food was really lovely and the service very good. Our dog accidentally pushed up the waiters tray with his nose, which sent all glasses up in the air and my husband / son, and the table / chairs got very wet, but the waiter dealt with it professionally and with a smile on his face which I thought deserves a call out! Servers were a little awkward and didn't seem confident on what they were doing. Food was delicious apart from the fries with our meals, very dry and thinly sliced so hard to actually get hold of with a fork to eat and lacked flavour. Puddings were the best part of the meal! Delicious 😋

Excellent space for all types of diners. We were a table of 60 something old school friends, surrounded by students meeting up, a business lunch and three breastfeeding mums and their babies. The staff were very accommodating, nothing was too much trouble and everything was done with style and grace

About the restaurant
The impressive accolades of Oxfordshire Restaurant of the Year and Best Gastropub, are richly deserved for the White Hart. Set in the picturesque village of Fyfield, The White Hart is the ultimate country pub and offers one of the finest foodie dining experiences in the county. Housed in a stunning 15th century chantry, customers can choose to eat under the soaring eaves of the great hall, up high in the minstrel's gallery, in the cosy bar by the fire or on the beautiful patio terrace.
With a passion for provenance, the kitchen sources food from the very best local suppliers and grow much of their own fruit and vegetables. Mark even fishes for his own crayfish and trout from the local reservoir! Cooking is modern British and menus change daily depending on what is fresh and seasonal - with the signature slow roasted pork belly, with foot long crackling, being a favourite.

Good tables and good space - no feel of crowding though well filled in the restaurant part for the lunch we had. Soup wasn’t special but tasty - the pork as main was perfect -the bartered fish was a bit underdone. Overall thoroughly enjoyed a gentle paced lunch.

Husband and I wanted a quiet evening meal out with good food in a peaceful setting and this is exactly what we got here. Fur and Feathers is a beautiful country pub with exceptional food. I came here as a child with my family on several occasions as it was one of my dads favourites and is still as great. We both had dishes off the specials board, I had the chicken and bacon ballotine and was blown away by just how tasty every aspect of it was. I tried the cheesecake of the day for dessert which was pistachio.... Wow! The best cheesecake combo I've ever tasted that's for sure. For a country pub close to Norwich, this is definitely one to try. They also have a small shop where they sell their famous brews from the onsite Woodforde's brewery. I'd recommend the Wherry Ale or Black Adder Cyder but they have many to choose from, and if you dine with them you get 10% off purchases. Really friendly staff, great tasting food, cosy, comfortable restaurant, dog friendly bar and a lovely outdoor seating area with an idyllic sunset view, perfect!
