We are not a ‘fancy pants’ establishment. Not in the least. We offer good quality, home-cooked, locally sourced (where possible) food. 90% of our menu is made on the premises. Certainly not ‘Pub Grub’ but not ‘Gastro Pub’ either. It’s good value for money. However, our standards are high, very high. Not only in the quality of the food that comes into and leaves the kitchen but also in the presentation, the delivery to the table and overall customer service. We’re definitely not ‘Silver Service’ either but all of our staff are attentive, smartly dressed and will always go that extra mile wherever they can. These are just some of the reasons we were awarded the Taste of the West GOLD award in 2019.
We are a dog friendly establishment, very dog friendly. However, please tell us at the time of booking so that we can place you in our Bar area , as opposed to our Restaurant.

Totally outstanding! I've been fortunate enough to have visited many restaurants over the years including Michelin starred 1,2 and 3 starred. Orelle could give a couple of the 1 star Michelin a run for their money. The view from the 25th floor is amazing, the food is outstanding but we must not forget the staff . We had a great experience for dinner for four and baby granddaughter, the food was delicious as always accompanied by fine wine. A big thank you for the chef to blend our granddaughters meal and all waiting staff very helpful. We would highly recommend for a great meal with spectacular views

My two daughters booked this for us all for Mother’s Day…..I had been before but they hadn’t. On arrival they both said what a great setting it was and how nice the staff were…..then the food came out! They were amazed at the content, presentation and the level of service we received. The food was awesome. The breakfast cocktail was also amazing! We were even able to sit outside for our coffee as the weather was very kind to us and we enjoyed the fabulous view. We will all definitely be back soon, thank you.

First time visitors tonight and pleasantly surprised. All 4 of us shared chateau Briand which was cooked medium rare and superbly tender. We probably made the school boy error of not ordering extra veg as we lacked some greenery but other than that it was very good. It’s nice to see a chef that knows how to rest a decent cut of meat properly. All washed down with a couple of bottles of St’emlion red I’m sure we will return soon

To the rear of the building in our historic Cobbled Garden you will find our own brewery housed in the stables which were used for the horses and stage coaches as they passed through the village. From Ales to YPA’s, to Blonde beers we are a small producer using primary English hops brewing exclusively in house for The Hop Vine and our sister pub the Legh Arms.

Our countryside sister the Legh Arms is our latest addition to the family and is situated in the pretty hamlet of Mere Brow. Here we serve our trademark delicious home produced quality food and excellent home brewed ales. Kiln is a small restaurant in the heart of the Ouseburn. We make everything ourselves and push to be better than the day before.

We serve brunch every morning from 10am to 2:45pm.

Our Mediterranean & Middle Eastern inspired tapas style menu is served from 5pm to 9:30pm.

Our great coffee, homemade cakes and cocktails are served all day - and we’re dog friendly!

Please inform the staff of any allergies when booking & due to the nature of our menu please note we cannot accommodate anyone with a severe nut or sesame allergy.

Norfolk also boasts 90 miles of award-winning coastline, with lots of variety to explore. From sandy beaches and rugged cliffs to salt marshes, there really is a beach for everyone! Here at the Lodge our closest stretch of beach is only a half-hour drive away.

Our menus change on a regular basis and we also offer a small selection of seasonal specials on a daily basis.

Great food, excellent service and a lovely courtyard setting on a summer's day.
The Cat Inn is a 16th century free house set in the picturesque village of West Hoathly, a hilltop village set in the heart of the Sussex countryside. It is in within easy distance from the towns of East Grinstead and Haywards Heath and only 25 minutes from Gatwick Airport.
