I try to get here whenever I'm in Chicago and thanks to the pandemic it's been four years. Some of the dishes are the same (and delicious), and others have changed (and are delicious). My favorites this time were the hamachi poke, goat belly (though I liked the previous version better), and the pork shank (the new version is better).

Great place to celebrate a special event! The Chef's menu was a great choice and allowed us to try lots of different menu options. Small plates offered good portion size, not just a tiny dollop of sauce that leaves you feeling hungry after. We also loved the global focus and mixture of ingredients. The sauces were the standout for us. I feel like it's a bit under the radar as far as fine dining goes, so you can get a reservation without having to book way out.

It is impossible to have a bad meal here. Every dish is met with deep intention and oozes Chinh and Son's wonderful heritage. The ambience is perfect for a date night or a bite with friends. Great ambience, cozy feel. Food was delicious. Tried a few dishes, loved ceviche, miso cod and wagyu wrap. Portions are small, but it was enough to enjoy different flavors. Restaurant has nice list of wines and whiskies as well. Nice spot overall.
