I went here to celebrate my boyfriend’s birthday and my pregnancy and I had an amazing time. We went for 8pm to catch the sunset and although we didn’t get a window seat the host showed us a table that was elevated and close to the windows so we still got a great view of the water and the city which was really great at sunset. To add to the atmosphere they lift the blinds electronically in unison which opens up the space to a beautiful golden sky. I got two mocktails our server recommended which were very delicious. Me and my boyfriend got the steak tar tar and the oysters as starters and for mains we got the albacore in the caviar sauce and the tomato and salmon. Not only was the timing of each dish impeccable but the food definitely exceeded any expectations I had, which were high considering I researched the chef de cuisine and the district executive chef on the website before arriving. I would 100% recommend the albacore it was genuinely the best dish I’ve ever had. Our server delivered perfect service he was very helpful and also very personable and likeable. By the time it was completely dark outside the restaurant adapted to a whole new vibe that was both laid back and elegant and by this time I was drinking a cappuccino and looking over the dessert menu. We shared the blackberry meringue with a light sponge cake and it was the perfect way to end the night with a light and refreshing pallet cleanser. I’d like to note that the kitchen was open to see which was very enjoyable. I saw the chef de cuisine that I’d read about and it was fun to point that out to my boyfriend and to see how professional and calm the kitchen was, definitely a kitchen that is being ran well and staffed with talented people who are working in a beautiful open kitchen with a great view. Overall it was 10/10 for me and I will definitely be coming back.

Perched on the rooftop of the Bisha Hotel—which garnered attention for suites designed by rocker Lenny Kravitz—Kōst offers striking views over the city and waterfront. Pop art photographs add bursts of colour to a dining room decorated with clean lines, white banquettes, and blond wood. Light, prettily plated dishes such as tuna tartare with yuzu dressing and lamb barbacoa with radish slaw are influenced by varied Mexican, Asian, and seasonal flavours. The drinks menu is anchored by a lengthy list of sparkling wines by the glass and bottle—fitting for toasting Toronto from above.

Dined on April 28, 2025 at 6:00 PM I had an outstanding experience at Kōst! From the moment I walked in, the evening was made special. The hostess greeted us warmly with such genuine hospitality — although I didn’t catch her name, she truly set the perfect tone for the night with her welcoming smile and professionalism. Our server, Tressa, was absolutely phenomenal. She was attentive without being intrusive, incredibly knowledgeable about the menu, and made thoughtful recommendations that really enhanced our dining experience. Her positive energy and attention to detail made us feel genuinely cared for throughout the evening. The ambiance at Kōst was stunning as always — the views, the atmosphere, and the overall vibe were perfect for a memorable night out. Every dish was beautifully presented and bursting with flavor, from the starters right through to dessert. A big thank you to the team at Kōst, especially Tressa and the fabulous hostess, for making our visit so enjoyable. I look forward to returning soon! Highly recommend!

However, it only takes a quick scan of the menu to see that unlike many wine bars, food isn’t an afterthought here—this is one of the city’s most ambitious operations. It skips the typical meat and cheese boards, instead giving diners options such as smoked fish dip or canestri pasta with kale and chicken skin gremolata. The sprawling wine list offers a pairing for everything on the menu, covering both old world and emerging regions, such as the restaurant’s own orange wine that’s made in partnership with a producer in Niagara.

Grey Gardens is an oasis in an otherwise busy Kensington Market corridor. I've been a regular at Grey Mondays, their surprise tasting menu on the last Friday of the month, and brought different groups of folks with me most months. Each time we are in awe of the attention to detail, the quality of service, and the genuine kindness from every member of the team. I've said it before but skipping out on a Grey Monday is a disservice to yourself - everyone should experience what that wonderful team offers. A special shout out to Joffrey for the turnip cake which was absolutely lights out tonight, and was his creation. Yuki's trout tartare served with pita was another sensational highlight at our table. We should all aspire to have such incredible things attributed to our names! Thank you for another wonderful evening!

While one might assume the restaurant’s notorious nude sculptures and paintings would be the showiest element of Joso’s interior, deep red tablecloths, red carpeting, and eclectic curio collections give the titillating artwork a run for its money. Drake, featured in Joso’s interior on the cover of his Take Care album, is just one of the celebrities who’s dined here over the decades. The restaurant is still in the family, now run by Spralja’s son and daughter-in-law. The fried calamari, which Spralja is said to have been the first to serve in Toronto, is a must-order.

Our waiter was great, very attentive. The food came out quickly. Our appetizers were delicious, we had the fried calamari and meatballs. My wife had the vaccine peppe, it was alright, not the greatest. I had a pizza, which was good.

Went for lunch with cousins to celebrate her engagement and have some cousins time. Was a great meal as always, great service, and a fun time!

The Ozery brothers set a new standard for Middle Eastern food in Toronto with Parallel, their modern Israeli restaurant in The Junction. The three grew up eating tahini on almost everything and decided to translate their love of sesame butter into both a packaged product and the basis for a menu of cheffed-up classics. While many dishes on the restaurant’s menu seem familiar in name, almost all of them contain an unexpected twist, such as the gluten-free riff on tabbouleh that swaps cauliflower rice for the traditional bulgur wheat, or the addition of truffle oil to the fluffy homemade hummus. Given that two of the brothers also run the nationally distributed Ozery Bakery, it’s never a bad idea to order a few extra pitas with your meal. Had the Filet Tasting, 2 of the 3 steaks were out of the park (though I'm not much of a steak lover, so opinions may vary) to my pallet one of the steaks just tasted like an extra marbled and buttered bit of USDA Prime Beef... The entire meal was a treat, the appetizers we ordered - the Hamachi Usuzukuri Serrano and Prime Steak Tartare - absolutely did their jobs in such an incredible way. The quality apparent in even the Yuzu Citrus and Bone Marrow for each platter respectively. Vibrant colors in every aspect of the meal, creating a beautifully elegant and prestigious environment. For my tastes and experiences, it was easily worth the unique atmosphere! Being surrounded by old castle works and such timeless historical figures combines flawlessly into an unforgettable dining trip.
