Toronto’s stalwart brewery has grown by leaps and bounds since its founding in 2000, evolving from the passion project of three laid-off brewery workers to a Downtown destination. The space now includes its own biergärten and restaurant along with a working brewery. Sitting in the shadow of the CN Tower, the biergärten patio has become a landmark in its own right: a place to try the brewery’s iconic pilsner alongside a menu of European and Canadian-inspired drinking foods, such as pork hock with mustard made from the brewery’s beer and house-made Nuremberg sausage served in a sandwich layered with crispy onions and Dijon mayo.

Atmosphere and food was great! We had the burger, kids mac&cheese and poutine. Poutine was yummy but the portion is small considering the price. Also tried the blood orange shandy, would recommend! Would suggest making reservations online beforehand. We made reservations for 12:45 on a Monday, still had to wait in line. Server took a while to come around to our table - maybe short staffed. Saw alot of empty tables that were finished but not cleared. Overall would still recommend and visit again. Prices are reasonable and vibes unbeatable.

If you want high class chinese cuisine, then you have arrived at Lai Wah Heen. The peking duck is amazing.

While one might assume the restaurant’s notorious nude sculptures and paintings would be the showiest element of Joso’s interior, deep red tablecloths, red carpeting, and eclectic curio collections give the titillating artwork a run for its money. Drake, featured in Joso’s interior on the cover of his Take Care album, is just one of the celebrities who’s dined here over the decades. The restaurant is still in the family, now run by Spralja’s son and daughter-in-law. The fried calamari, which Spralja is said to have been the first to serve in Toronto, is a must-order.

The food was wonderful. For example, I really enjoyed the rhubarb sponge dessert; the warmth and the way it melted in my mouth brought happiness to my dining experience. The venison appetizer had an amazing texture, it was tender and it felt fresh. The server was very considerate and fulfilled our wishes by giving us two beautiful roses to set on our table. Thank you, I will definitely come back again.

Pleasant lunch on a sunny Monday on the upstairs patio. Great food+drink and service in a relaxed atmosphere. Our server, Tara-Lynn (if that's how it's spelled), was excellent. Great experience overall, thanks to both front and back of house staff for delivering.

We are so excited that Te has reopened. They have a new menu and everything tasted great. I kinda miss the old menu though as it was simpler but they have elevated them by incorporating it to their new menu. I would still crave the previous version of the Bulgogi Sliders and the Dark Spiced Fried Chicken. Really nice coming back to our old frequently visited restaurant.

The Ozery brothers set a new standard for Middle Eastern food in Toronto with Parallel, their modern Israeli restaurant in The Junction. The three grew up eating tahini on almost everything and decided to translate their love of sesame butter into both a packaged product and the basis for a menu of cheffed-up classics. While many dishes on the restaurant’s menu seem familiar in name, almost all of them contain an unexpected twist, such as the gluten-free riff on tabbouleh that swaps cauliflower rice for the traditional bulgur wheat, or the addition of truffle oil to the fluffy homemade hummus. Given that two of the brothers also run the nationally distributed Ozery Bakery, it’s never a bad idea to order a few extra pitas with your meal. The food and service are always outstanding. I find the music a little too loud and the heaters on the outdoor patio far too intense for my liking. We moved to a different table to try to sit farther from the heaters.

The food and service are always outstanding. I find the music a little too loud and the heaters on the outdoor patio far too intense for my liking. We moved to a different table to try to sit farther from the heaters.

Bar Isabel, a cozy room with plastered, curving walls, richly colored tiles, and warm lighting that encourages diners to linger for hours, is one of the city’s most romantic pockets. It also happens to serve some of the best Spanish food in town. Run by well-known Toronto chef and restaurateur Grant van Gameren, the menu sticks to tapas bar classics and executes them perfectly. The sharing-style menu lends itself well to snacks and drinks or a full dinner. Think crispy patatas bravas, tender grilled octopus, and olive oil-drenched pan con tomate that complement the extensive list of Spanish wines and vermouths.

The food was excellent. Great portion size. Price is right. The 3 of us have above average appetite, and we ordered 8 dishes to share. Sour dough bread, sea bream ceviche, mushroom with egg yolk, ox-tongue, foie gras, shishito peppers, Iberico tasting plate, and half octopus. Oh, I forgot we finished with the must-have basque cake with sherry cream and dark chocolate cake. We read some reviews that the restaurant gets quite loud, to the point that it is difficult to carry out a conversation. So we booked Monday night thinking it would be less busy. We were wrong LOL. The place was packed with great energy and lively atmosphere. However, we could not have a conversation with each other without screaming our lungs out. It didn't help that there were two large parties seated close to us. It was so loud that a couple of patrons actually left the restaurant. May not be the best choice to talk and get to know your first date, but if you are not much of a talker and can handle the loud noise, then you will love this restaurant because the food, energy, and the service are all top notch. Even with the noise I'd give it 5/5.
