Le Bilboquet - Dallas Ratings and Reviews
i went to the place based on high review. It was early evening and restaurant was empty. Despite that the service was rushed. We didnt even finished our appetizers, they brought us the entree and waiter was trying to place on the table. i was so embarrassed in front of my colleague, so i told :" dont you see we haven't even finished our appetizers ?". Guy told me that he will put the food in the warmer!!!!
I would consider our dining experience very good, but not exceptional. I had the lobster roll. It was good. However the fries were 3/4 of the plate. The sandwich was quite small. My husband had the eggs la bilbouquet. He says it was very rich, but excellent. Dessert consisted of meringue on a sauce. Not so great. Service was excellent. I would try it again... but order something else.
The restaurant was perfect for a gathering of old friends for lunch! The setting and service allowed us a good visit with one another and the food was wonderful. The presentation and flavors were delightful. My beet salad included a mixture of textures and flavor that made for a great experience.
Consistently excellent. Grilled Romaine, Leeks Mimosa and Grilled Artichoke salads were very good. Red Snapper pan seared special was perfectly cooked. Halibut, Cajun Chicken and Mushroom Risotto all were winners. Our server was great too, Love the ambiance. The restaurant was opened up to the perfect night air.
Very good the food and abundat to share any of the dishes.Unfortunatly the bread a really disgrace (uncooked) .A French bistro without a good baguette? Several places in Dallas to get good baguette.Hope the managent take care of this problem very dear to the French cuisine.
We were extremely disappointed with our fist time visit to the restaurant. Not only did your front desk not clearly understand my expectation when I asked to sit up front, and was given a sit on the side of the restaurant, but the attention to us and detail was terrible. As a frequent customer and user of this service, I was blown away of the lack of attention provided to me and my wife.
Last day in Dallas, found the place under “Great Brunches” and went for it. The foot traffic was heavy in and around the place, but they received us earlier than our reservation, steered us toward the small bar area and with minutes we had drinks and were seated.
The server Kavo was superb. Explained a few options to us and then proceeded to be attentive through the meal. The food was really good , salmon and bagel, lobster roll and a Cajun chickenpffering all served with truffle or shoestring fries. We also had some French toast rendition which was delicious.
I have no hesitation commending this place to anyone who likes the items mentioned above.
I consider myself particular as are my family and friends about where to dine out. The menu here has so many choices that it is hard to decide on a favorite. Whether you go for brunch, lunch or dinner, the food is delicious. The mood is jovial and not stuffy and attracts many age groups from mid 20's to 80's. It stays busy especially on weekends. As you look around the room you see people having fun and enjoying conversations with friends and family. The table spacing and decor create comfort and intimacy while not being too loud. The service is friendly and first rate without being intrusive. Edward, the GM, is a true gentleman and gem! He always remembers something special about you and enjoys pleasing his customers. My favorite place in town!
