Our original with bacon
Rich and creamy
Skuna bay salmon, topped with sauted spinach, scampied shrimp
The overall atmosphere was nice and they do good with social distancing. It still does not meet up to the challenge of a upscale restaurant that wants to charge higher prices for it's food.
And realistically no one should be eating inside yet .
Checking in was simple at the door. Groups were separated outside the restaurant. Ambiance was quiet as there were less tables due to Covid-19. Food was delicious. Service was impeccable as always. Definitely going back again and again.
Clifton was an awesome server. He was friendly despite his face being covered. He handled several other tables and yet was able to tend to us with exceptional service. The food was wonderful and the drinks were well made.
Valet was friendly and personable.
We will definitely visit again.
We came here for date night just to get out of the house and enjoy somewhat of a normal dinner. Yes, the setup is different from before but nothing too extreme or inconvenient. Wearing masks when dressed up seems a bit strange but you get used to it. Eveything, the staff and the setup was well organized and thought out. Valet parking now is optional. There's a host outside the front door to check you in. Also, the bar is closed so you'll have to wait outside until you're seated. Masks are required as soon as you leave your car until you're seated. The tables are spaced farther apart which I actually prefer. Wow, the prime rib is as delicious as ever. We had cream corn and spinach as sides as both were phenomenal. All in all, although things are a bit different, the dinner experience was still excellent. Remember to bring your own pen because the one they provide will be disposed of after use so its wasteful.
Delicious as always!
Always a pleasure. Felt very safe with their new procedures due to Covid. Will not hesitate to go back.
Lawry's is expensive but for the experience, it was worth every penny. With this Covid component, the experience will never be forgotten. Everyone at the restaurant was EXCELLENT!!!
great service , great food my favorite for prime rib when celebrating bithdays and anniversary
Great place and excellent food. Parking was good and
Felt very safe with COVID-19 protocols in place. Missed the table side carving and serving but was well serviced by waiter. Thanks Lawry's.
Was not happy with the baked potatoe, I sent it back it was not hot, overall did not enjoy the second one was ok but it should be hot where you see steam for the extra money I should have stayed with mashed potatoes. Not enough butter.
Everything was in amazing shape even with the extra care necessary for safety. The food was just stunning and the service was impeccable.
I went to Lawry's with my friend for my first dine-in experience of this Covid era. All parties were seated minimum 8 feet apart from one another and the staff wore face shields and face masks. After getting used to the setup, the dining experience was comfortable and the food was good as always. I've missed eating in restaurants.
This is the first time any of us tried an evening out at a nice restaurant, and this worked out very well. They take all necessary precautions to prevent the spread of Covid, including allowing you to park your own car for $4.00 instead for turning it over to a valet. With fewer people it was much quieter, which is a plus, and everything else was at the usual high standard. If you take precautions, an evening out is do-able.
We love Lawrys and I know Covid has changed things but it felt like they were going out of business and didn’t have the elegant feel it usually has. Food was good but since cast it across the room it was just like ordering from the kitchen at any other place
Server was wonderful
Social distancing is being practiced. Food was phenomenal as usual and the staff was friendly.
Lawry’s was excellent but due to COVID a little of the ambiance was missing having been replaced by new cleaning and distancing rules. Understandable but felt less inviting
Meat was flavorless. Lacked any flavor at all. It tasted as if it wasn’t salted. There was an overwhelming amount of gristle.
Had wonderful time for Father’s Day service was excellent food was great live the shrimp corn Fritters
A perfect dining experience! Lawry’s went the extra mile so that my 91 year old relative could have his favorite meal for Father’s Day. Their protocol gave us confidence about feeling safe so we could relax. The food was delicious as always. We look forward to dining at Lawry’s again soon. Two thumbs up!
Excellent service. Always a great place to get your meat
I dont think our waitress was up to Lawrys standards...
I made a comment that my filet was a bit too blue rare (ordered medium rare) and it didnt even phase her, almost like she wasnt listenting to us speak. She just nodded and walked away. Also, she didnt ask if we wanted to order coffee with our deserts. We had to ask her when she delivered them to our table. But then by the time the coffee arrived, we were long done with our desert.
We seem to have better luck with the wait staff at the Lawrys in Las Vegas. Not sure if this was just an off day for them or what.
Lawrys is always one of our favorite places for Prime Rib. Its been a family favorite for years now, i love the personalized service and the food is the best.
Our waitress was great. And I know since COVID-19 hit that things would change but I was very disappointed in our prime rib meal. The cut off that large rack was so sloppy not Lawry's quality at all to cut prime rib off the bone that uneven and in that sloppy way and our Prime Rib was not even hot ..warm at best... but I am use to it being at least hot and the Prime Rib cut almost perfectly even our side dishes were warm.
I was so looking forward to celebrating a birthday and Father's Day meal, I missed Lawry's so much to only be disappointed at an almost $400 bill was not a great start to reentering the somewhat social dinning again.
But I do appreciate the adhering to the distancing and making sure masks were on while you were away for your table and how the staff made sure you were welcomed. I don't think Lawry's could ever disappoint me on how they treat their customers. But I also thought that way about the meals … and I was wrong.
I never complained to our waitress I just took it as a bad night but when I received the bill that was too expensive to be a bad night.
Bad part is I have out of state family coming and I was going to treat them to Lawry's but after Saturday nights meal I cant do it.
I having been going to Lawry's for years on and off so you would understand my disappointment. I really hope that was just a bad night or that Prime Rib trolley was malfunctioning because I will not pay high quality prices for subpar quality food again.
Went there to celebrate our anniversary. This is the Second time we went to Lawry’s and were put in the back room. I don’t know if it’s because we booked on Open Table... We requested a table in the main dining room, and they happily accommodated us.
Perfect, thank you!
Restaurant/staff was super thoughtful of diners during this Covid pandemic. We felt they took their employees and guests safety serious.
Dining at Lawry's is consistently always a luxurious experience. The waitresses caters to all of our needs in a timely manner and are very respectful. They always ensure that we are taken cared of. Love eating here! This was my 5th time. They are consistent with their customer services and food quality.
I went her with my husband for our 5 year anniversary and our waitress was the sweetest. She helped us out with suggestions and very attentive. At the end of our meal she brought us some dessert and champagne to celebrate our anniversary. I want to thank her and the whole staff for being so kind.
It’s was great!! Mark and host staff was very good to us... we will return
Nothing we can ask for more.
Lawry’s is following excellent social distancing and restaurant protocols while still serving delicious quality meals!
Service from Adam was excellent. Food wasn't as good as previous visits. Also, my friends ordered a bottle of wine and that was delicious. I ordered two dirty martinis, the first one was good, but the second one seemed watered down...it tasted almost as if the bartender poured some water with the vodka and olive brine when making my second order. I know I could've sent the drink back, but I didn't want to fuss.
Old school excellence
Great service! Tables further away and feels very safe to dine in.
As always, great. One of the best places in Los Angeles area to eat.
love the place, overall super good experience. The food was really good, the steak is tender and juicy. I would recommend the English Cut and the Lawry's Cut. The ambiance was perfect, love it!
The food was good, but the service was awesome. Fiona Dewey is the GOAT OF SERVERS. I always come back because of Fiona she is very professional, extremely courteous and anticipates your every request before you ask. My mother was using a walker, Fiona escorted her to the elevator and assisted her in. Unbelievable service!!!
