Terrific service, great buffet breakfast, and excellent views.

Good solid meal. French onion soup knocked it out of the park. 7oz steak was good, garlic mashed potatoes a perfect match. Skipped the carrots. Mussels were very good, well prepared. Waiter Alberto was super. Hoisted is a food desert when it comes to dining choices, as it should be. It’s a national park. Get a reservation. Get a reservation. Get a reservation.

To the extent that there are very few dining options at Tenaya, Jackalopes has a good enough menu for standard American fare. The dishes were above average in flavor and freshness - making up for the fact that it was “upscale” in price. The service was maddeningly slow, and I suspect they are understaffed in the kitchen and wait staff.

Really fabulous food. You feel lucky to be there in a hidden tiny room in beautiful Twain Harte.

Our experience was great-as always. The vibe in the tavern is fun and boisterous. The decor and ambiance is “upscale lodge” and the service is most always outstanding. They appreciate their local business too and as a result we come fairly often.
