The Ahwahnee Dining Room is currently serving breakfast and dinner in buffet style service featuring many classic favorites like eggs benedict and a full selection of breakfast favorites. At dinner, enjoy a carving station featuring our famous Prime Rib and more. If you experience difficulty making a reservation through Open Table, please call us directly at (209) 372-1490 so we may assist you. The Ahwahnee is near completion of a seismic retrofit renovation project in partnership with the National Park Service to preserve this iconic hotel. During the last phase of the project (May - August), the impacted areas will be isolated to the West Terrace and surrounding areas near the Dining Room. This work will result in some obstructed views, and we expect construction noise between 10AM–4PM, Monday–Friday. We have done our best to mitigate any negative guest experiences, though we recognize it may cause inconveniences and conditions. We thank you for your patience and understanding.

To the extent that there are very few dining options at Tenaya, Jackalopes has a good enough menu for standard American fare. The dishes were above average in flavor and freshness - making up for the fact that it was “upscale” in price. The service was maddeningly slow, and I suspect they are understaffed in the kitchen and wait staff.

What a find, nestled in the trees, this rustic cafe offered something for everyone. The vegan curry was the best I've ever had, and was enough for a generous lunch the next day, too. The ginormous carrot cake cupcake was moist and delightful. The hubs ordered a mac and cheese that would have been outstanding if it were a tad moister TBH. Beer and wine were available, and it appeared they served breakfast and lunch as well. Groups large and small were enjoying themselves inside and out on the patio. For awareness, parking was a bit challenging, and reservations didn't appear to be needed as you order at the counter and seat yourself. We'll make it a point to go back when in the area next time!

Our experience was great-as always. The vibe in the tavern is fun and boisterous. The decor and ambiance is “upscale lodge” and the service is most always outstanding. They appreciate their local business too and as a result we come fairly often.
