Restaurants near Un Sueno, Valle de Huajes

This was the second time we have dined at Kintaro and as we previously experienced, the food was excellent. Our five person group ordered a range of dishes including rice bowls, ramen, handrolls, sushi, and of course, desserts. Our only issue was the service. We waited close to half an hour for our reserved table and had to flag down a waiter to get them to take our order. The other issue was a very obnoxious couple who took a personal call on speaker and had the entire restaurant listen to their conversation. The ambience is beautiful and the food is definitely worth a visit.

Restaurant was very good—excellent food and presentation. Lovely views from the top deck. Staff very attentive and helpful. Service was prompt and polite. Only drawback was being seated next to a large and loud mezcal tasting party, but the staff did give us a different table on request. One note: many steep flights of stairs(like all over Oaxaca), a challenge for older or less agile customers.

We celebrated my husband’s birthday here and while we felt somewhat rushed at the beginning of the evening (meal was served within 15 minutes of sitting down and dessert came out immediately following the plate clearing), the restaurant and serving staff were lovely. A beautiful, quiet setting and the fantastic flavours in the entrees were enjoyed. Complimentary appetizers and birthday cake to share were a very nice touch as well.

This beautiful place was perfect for us. My wife wanted a burger and got the best she had in a long time. The pickles and potatoes were perfect. I had tacos and flan—also excellent. It was very quiet compared to other places and allowed us to have a quiet conversation over dinner.
