The food was excellent and the servers were attentive. However, the hostess at the front needs more training. I was by myself and had an early 5:45pm dinner reservation. Most of the restaurant was empty. Still, she offered me the worst seat in the entire place, a bar/counter at the back corner of the restaurant, facing outside. That is just rude and unnecessary.

This was an amazing sunset dinner. Fabulous food and service.

It was date night at Niku X for us and the experience blew us away! As we got seated, we passed by the cold buffet bar with seafood and such, we knew it was gonna be good. Sat down and ordered from the menu and hit the cold bar immediately. The seafood was sweet, suculent and oh so fresh. Do this first or you won't have room after the Wagyu comes out. My highlights: - A5 Japanese Wagyu - like buttah, but be careful of overindulging since it is super rich and fatty - Cold bar - Lobster tails was tops, Crab legs were very good, but tedious, Scallops, Oysters and Prawns were to die for. The other stuff was good, but IMHO kinda like fillers. Might want to not order the pitcher of beer since the carbonation really expanded the already little stomach real estate as is. The service was fantastic and attentive...You guys rocked! Drawbacks: need to plan the outings like weeks in advance and the traffic into downtown LA is brutal at dinner time from OC. Beware, beware. Don't forget to scan the receipt into the Chubby Group app to get points for freebies...totally worth it. Cheers and see you there!

This was a great Experience overall. Took my employees for Christmas lunch, We were greeted by the hostess, very friendly, very accommodating, made my whole staff feel at home, the wait to be seated was about 3 minute. our waiter Alex, did an excellent Job. brought our Drinks promptly, gave good instructions on how the buffet works, there was a line at the salad and specialty area but it was lunch rush hour and the place was packed ! The food was excellent, not overcook, not too salty, juicy my only regret is that i did not get to taste the LINGUICA - Spicy Pork Sausage. for some reason i only saw it carried thru the room one time and he was too far to call over. Manager: 15 minutes after we started eating the manager interjected himself and help to secure all my party was accommodated with anything else they need. some need different types of sauce, others wanted a certain meat, HE made sure to send waiters our way every 5 min. to make sure we were taken care off.

The service was outstanding, and every dish was a delight, especially the dessert. I can’t wait to return!
