The Salt Line - Navy Yard offers indoor STANDARD seating and OUTDOOR Patio Seating. Our OUTDOOR riverfront patio seating has been winterized and is now comfortably available all year round. The OUTDOOR reservations area has been tastefully enclosed in clear insulated curtains that still provide a scenic river view and is well protected, well heated and honored all weather. Additionally we offer FIREPIT LOUNGE reservations in our large outdoor bar area and first come first served bar, hightop and lounge seating. Please note: the Outdoor Bar area with hightops is covered and well heated but the fire pit and lounge seating is uncovered and so weather permitting.     From greeter, to our server Ash to food runners and staff cleaning table service was excellent. Two adults, one teenager and two young kids, there was something for everyone and staff was super accommodating offering selection of tables to suit our needs. To go beer was a plus, will definitely be back.

    DELISH!!! Fantastic food and drink options. Service was great! It was midday on a rainy weekday, so I can’t speak to the normal volume but we enjoyed fairly quiet ambiance. Can’t wait to return and sit outside when the weather improves!

    The French onion soup was absolutely incredible. I have been searching for a good French onion soup to rival that of a restaurant near my college campus in Philadelphia for over 30 years and finally found it. The fried chicken was amazing. It was actually better than fried chicken I’ve had in Asheville from a place that specializes in good fried chicken. The care and attention they give to preparing the food as rival only by the care and attention they give to guests. The staff, which is friendly knowledgeable and accommodating, is a big asset. The owner also cares greatly about his guests’ experiences. I will go back soon to try some of their other dishes.
