Restaurants near Sharp Memorial Hospital

We went to Benihana for my son's birthday. It was a very busy night and I think we somehow fell through the cracks. After we were seated, it took 35 minutes for a server to come to the table. Fortunately the server knew we had been waiting and brought our drinks quickly. The chef (Trevor) was worth waiting for. He was funny, lively and a great chef. Our food was excellent. We had seafood, steak and chicken, all good choices. It's a bit pricey (about $50 a plate) but nice for a special occasion.

Shares of skirt steak was great, ahi tartare was little more tomato than ahi, but very nice - both small. We had cioppino, ravioli and ossobuco, all very nice. Got in on time, waiter was attentive and seating was comfortable. They also made it special for our birthday guy with sparkler dessert. It's very a pretty place, so wanted to sit inside, but might recommend outside, if you want a conversation as it was really loud inside. Will be back - but on the outside.

I had been given a gift card and decided to use it for our 18th anniversary dinner. We had a fabulous evening TJ our waiter was amazing as we were all of the staff. Food was delicious a hidden gem for sure. We will be back
