Restaurants near Scotts Valley Square Shopping Center

The view is beautiful, the food is decent, the service is rough right now. They have a lot going on and are understaffed at the moment, I am not complaining just calling it what it is so to set expectations. Great place, beautiful music, nice wine, but I will be talking more about the experience not the food. If you are a foodie this is probably not the place for you.

Ohhh, the desserts and chocolate coconut rum martini. Oh yeah, the foods great, too. But it’s the cocktails and desserts that that stole my heart. Best tiramisu I’ve ever tasted🤎

Service was friendly and not intrusive. It has a diner look from the outside but it’s more upscale inside with nice photos of Santa Cruz on the walls. They’ve been there 25 years but it was our first visit. The salad was great, portion sizes good, and everything was obviously prepared with care. Lots of offerings in varying price ranges also makes this place appealing but my French fries could have been crispier and my lemonade a little more generous in size but overall this is a nice place for dinner

The food was good. Ambience, at a table near the back of the restaurant, was lack luster. Also the 1980s pop music was turned up too loud. We had trouble hearing each other. I asked the weight staff to turn it down, and she said "of course", but then we never heard a difference in the volume.
