Restaurants near Safari West

We were entertaining out of town guests, and decided on John Ash for our “special” dinner. I had to call earlier in the day to add another person to our reservation. I spoke with Annie who made the change and after I explained how special this night would be said she would seat us at a table outside with a view of the vineyard. So needless to say, we were excited in anticipation since it was a beautiful day!! The evening was better when we were seated (truly a table with a spectacular view) and Annie was our server. She made our dining experience at John Ash wonderful! She was very knowledgeable, friendly, funny, and very attentive. A cool breeze eventually picked up when the sun went down, and she kept checking on us to make sure that we were comfortable, turning on the heat lamp as needed.  The food was delicious, the restaurant lovely, but Annie made the night truly memorable!

My husband raved about the chicken dinner, I tried a bite and the chicken was tender and the sauce excellent. I had the crispy chicken salad and I thought was excellent - generous portion and I sadly could not eat all of it. We have dined here in the past and believe it or not, the food never disappoints.

Always a great meal. The service was excellent. Thank you for always being good.

This has become my go-to restaurant for Calistoga. The menu is excellent, the setting is lovely, the service is the best.

This was just what we wanted. Lovely patio and a good meal. We order several starters and sides as well as 3 entrees. All were delicious. 10/10
