We sat in the Grant Room and BK was our waiter. We started with a peach bourbon sangria, which was wonderful. We shared a dozen assorted Potomac oysters, which were like silk. My husband enjoyed his huge crabcake and my meatloaf did not disappoint. Portions were very generous & prices were reasonable. We enjoyed walking around the restaurant and viewing the gas chandeliers, oyster bar, and main bar – it’s a beautiful restaurant.

Gorgeous experience. Chris was our server and he was wonderful -- totally knowledgeable while also not being overly pretentious the way lots of servers at restaurants this aesthetically beautiful tend to be. Steered us right every time. The food was incredible; most of the table got steak dishes that were all cooked to (each diner's specific) perfection, and my scallops were delicious. Word to the wise: get the escargot appetizer and pour the leftover garlic butter into your bread butter dish/ramekin to keep around -- as a drizzle for the mains, as a dipping sauce for fries, for literally drinking as a soup, anything. My boyfriend and mom have not stopped raving about the Old Fashioned since Monday afternoon. It was my best friend's birthday brunch and I was so touched that they didn't even need any sort of reminder or nudge to put a candle in the dessert. Loved it. Will DEFINITELY be back.
