So incredibly grateful for the communication about our table. We asked for something quiet on a Friday - laughable- and they reasonably delivered. 14/19 will of course come again.

The food was outstanding. Perfect steaks, delicious sides, my favorite wine, great desserts. It was louder than usual—several large parties (post-grad celebrations I think) and the music was turned up high as well. We couldn’t hear ourselves talk nor could we hear our waiter; he was struggling to hear us. He seemed rattled and harried and I felt that vibe across the waitstaff. Just not a typical night ambiance-wise. A meal for us here will always be over $400; you hope to linger not escape. Still an absolute favorite restaurant for us.

Another great birthday celebration at El Five. Especially enjoyed the pistachio and smoked paprika hummuses, Turkish eggplant, and muhumara on the Spreads of the Med platter. Always have to get the eggplant fries, which were as amazing as ever. The sea bass was a fantastic combination of flavors and textures. Really appreciated the small complimentary dessert from our terrific server Heather!
