We dined at Mustards about 10 years ago. The experience was so good we wanted to repeat it. So we did. Mustards did not disappoint. Staff was friendly and professional. Service was fine. The noise level was a little high, but not deafening. As for the food, beautifully prepared and presented. Dungeness crab cakes were greaseless and full of flavor. Grilled ahi was outstanding. And the desserts--don't get me started. We will be back. But I hope we won't wait another ten years.

It's a special summer treat to be seated outdoors at Brix, with a fine view of its gorgeous truck garden (produce of which ends up in the kitchen) and the Mayacamas mountains to the west. The staff is well trained, welcoming, and knowledgeable, alert to your every wish without hovering. The menu adapts to the garden and the thoughtful wine list. It's not impossible to get a reservation. What more could the locals and visitors to Napa Valley desire?
